Pretty great. For wines, they have Stack Wine. Amazing concept. Prepackaged cups of wine that are then stacked into a wine bottle sized column. Finally, we liked our checkout lady. Casselman Market is a great independent grocery store inside an older shopping plaza. They have a…read morewide selection of items. They have a year round canning section, hard find items like molasses, and an amazing selection of jellies. Their meat department has very affordable cuts of meats. They have a smaller selection of fruits and veggies, but they do have the basics and more options when things are in season. (They do lack of a public restroom. The plaza is older and is not getting municipal water, but usually the Dollar General a few stores down will let you use theirs or Big Dog's Deli has a public restroom.) We locals are so very happy to have a grocery store again after several years without. We are so very thankful for this lovely store that hires many local people and special orders anything that don't carry. They really are the best. I try to do most of my grocery shopping here and support our local independent business.

Queen City Creamery isn't just an ice cream shop ~ it's also got a cafe vibe, offering soups and other small sandwiches. There's ample seating inside and additional seating outside to enjoy the nice weather. People were sitting outside enjoying their scoops when we entered on a Sunday evening. We were able to sample different flavors to help make our decision. Service was quick and friendly. They have junior, single, double, and triple scoops. They also have a special flavor of the day. You can check their website for a calendar of the daily special flavor. I decided to get a junior scoop ($4) with half Butterfinger ice cream and half chocolate. They also have a smaller mini size, which the staff member advised was about the size of a golf ball. I like that they have such a small size, but I need more ice cream than that ;). The junior size was four ounces which was the perfect amount for me. The Butterfinger ice cream was quite sweet, but it is a candy-bar based ice cream, so what else would you expect. The ice cream was super creamy and delicious, and it doesn't break the bank. My friend got a chocolate milkshake (16 oz.) which was $6. Those milkshakes looked good! No complaints ~ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!
