Darren, who visited me to see what was required, was both friendly & knowledgeable, not pushy or demanding like many double glazing companies you seem to hear about these days. I was very happy with the quote given and was kept updated by the lovely Sue, who was always available by email and phone. They went above and beyond in getting the window fitted very quickly for me, as I was struggling to heat my home during winter 2021 due to the large hole created for the window. To do so they fitted me in on a Saturday. A few weeks later my two doors were fitted, again on a Saturday, way ahead of what I was expecting! Three guys in total fitted the window & the 2 doors. They were all very friendly, answered questions & nothing was too much, no mess left was behind either. I was told that if I encounter any issues whatsoever, to call them and they would visit. Nothing to date. This is a local company in Sudbury, that does things the right way. Everyone that I interacted with was friendly and helpful. I thoroughly recommend them. Glenn Hutton

A few weeks later they arrived to fit the pane. The pane was of good quality and blended well with the existing framework etc. They kept us up to date with what was going on so communication was excellent. We were also surprised at how cheap the pane was. In fact it was below our insurance excess so we didn't even have to claim. It is a shame we had arranged to have some of our windows replaced prior to dealing with Suffolk Doors and Windows as I would happily use the again.

The instillation was a nightmare with moody fitters, poorly organised supplies and arrogant responses from the management. No consideration was given to my comfort whilst the work was carried out with my bedroom left open to the elements overnight, forcing me to sleep in the freezing cold. After four days work was suspended due to supply delays and not completed for seven weeks. Work was eventually completed but I was left with a with a manufacturing fault on one window, doors which needed adjustment and fascias that were missing trims. Worst of all was the arrogant attitude of the fitters and managers of the company who responded to my complaint with excuse after excuse and constant reference to the fact that I didn't understand the building trade (as I am a women presumably). AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I was told that the glass could not be cut to exact size and that it would not run flush with my window sill. I was also told that if I wanted something precise that I would have to provide my own template and that it would cost me a fortune. After politely expressing my reluctance to pay for something that wasn't exactly flush with my window sill I was then refused a quote on the basis of "sounding like a fussy client" I understand that it is important to set appropriate expectations before quoting for a job, but this was going a bit too far. If a company strives for excellence then surely they should welcome clients that have moderate expectations?
