Fort Lee PD has a very wide spectrum of things to deal with, From a auto accident on Edwin Ave to a call of a unknown person at a home on Abbott Blvd, To a 25mph zone on most Major thoroughfares throughout the borough, To making sure no one is above the Law going 50 mph on any roads. They like most towns have a lot on there plates. Also the fact that the gateway from NYC is rite at are doorstep's for many.The fine men & woman officers keep the Borough of Ft. Lee running smoothly as possible. Bottom line if you see someone crossing the street. Don't speed up slow down & Stop, Remember it's the Law.oh yes while I'm. On our return from Time Square one night, one of our group members noticed that her hotel room door was ajar and the family member who she had left there was not in the room. She is a senior and we were worried. The hotel front desk staff and front desk manager was of no help to us and frankly did not seem to care. My sister then called the Ft. Lee Police Depart where Officer Pickens and Sargent Lee were dispatched. These two police officers were later joined by a few other officers, but Pickens and Lee showed concern, compassion and empathy; they really stood out. Their level of professionalism the moment they walked in the hotel doors was very admirable. Officer Pickens was very deliberate in explaining exactly what their initial search would involve. Thank God we eventually found out that our family had fallen ill in the hotel and had taken a taxi or Uber to the nearby hospital. Unbeknown to her, her WIFI was not activated so her messages to us of her situation did not transmit in a timely fashion. Kudos to Pickens and Lee. God bless you both.

The lady who spoke to me, got mad at me cause I was calling today many times but that's because they were taking long and she wasn't giving me update but to say oh a dispatched would contact you when it gets there...I call 5:43 than I call 9 minutes later to see the status of my call...nothing but wait....i call after 20 minutes.... They guys said they will send a dispatcher...i call again maybe like 5 or 8 minutes later and the lady gave me an attitude And I told her like how long will it be and she was like of its gonna take long plus if we go there and they say they don't got your phone than we can't do anything like you should've told me that in the beginning not make me wait like a fool.

The new recruits are friendly, helpful and not intimidating as in the past. I had a couple bad experiences about 10-15 years ago. Now when I ask for information I'm assisted. It's like when you teach a child the policeman is your friend. I wasn't raised that way. I was taught to be afraid of them. I'd be locked up. I still have a fear of imprisonment. Thus my name FreeBird. I try my best to keep the law because of my fear. I thank the police every chance I get these days. We lost 9 to suicide this year. I'm grateful every day that they take the job. They are so very very underpaid! Thank you NYPD. My heart and prayers go with you.

Absolutely the nicest and most engaging people we have ever come across. We shared a few stories and told them about our police force back home. They were so happy to chat to us and share (limited information of course). We felt really comfortable engaging with them and they did a fantastic job at the protest too. Cool, calm and collected, out in force looking after everyone. Well done NYPD, you all did a great job. Really nice personable people.

They did not do any investigation and closed the case. It took me months to get the copy of report and they told me there is nothing they can do to look into the security footage that my building management has to provide. I called them and showed up numerous times and no one would help. When good people do nothing, bad guys win.
