After taking a shower I walked barefooted on the tile floor. My feet turned black and the floor felt sandy, as if they hadn't cleaned the floors. Furthermore, the walls are paper thin. We could even hear the people next to us every time they went to the bathroom, and I'm not talking about flushing the toilet. I'm talking about every time they . IMO, they need to improve on their hotel rooms. It's a shame for such a beautiful property to have rooms that are not adequately maintained.

Our wedding was in December, and it's now almost February--still no response from the venue or the owner. The issue? We paid extra for a higher-tier bar package, only to find that our bar signage was hidden, and the bartender had no idea how to make any of the drinks. Classic cocktails like Old Fashioneds and Negronis were made poorly (when they were made at all), and in the end, most guests resorted to drinking only wine, champagne, or beer--completely negating the premium package we paid for. We made menus for the drinks and they magically disappeared. To make matters worse, we were previously assured via email that the bartender was experienced, only to later find out that they were hired the day before the event. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. We reached out multiple times to resolve this fairly, including requesting a partial refund for a service we didn't receive. We were met with silence. Someone on Instagram keeps telling us that "someone will reach out," yet here we are, still waiting. If you're considering this venue, be warned: they have no problem taking your money, but when an issue arises, they disappear. We expected better, and at the very least, a response. Mind you, the location is spectacular but the fact that they hired someone without experience to work a wedding is shady and unfair to the guests and couple who paid out of pocket to make this an experience. It was an experience but not one that we smile about when it comes to talking about the bar saturation . 90% of guests are all industry people. Thanks for not responding. I tried.

However, the hotel was understaffed and empty during our stay. For two to three days, my guest and I had to share a single dirty bath towel. We requested room cleaning and additional towels, a few times. There were other non ideal situations and when we raised concerns, they were often minimized. The pool bar was also not very well maintained or staffed. Overall, it was ok for a last-minute booking, but for the price, I think you could get more value at nearby properties.

Turning someone away at the last minute because of a service animal was unacceptable and incredibly disappointing. Accessibility is another major issue, there are stairs everywhere, and no bathrooms on the upper event space. If you have mobility challenges, this venue may not be suitable. Regarding the Croqueta Coquetta Show: we purchased VIP tickets but were moved to the very back due to the service dog situation. The seating offered zero visibility. Unless the performers came all the way to the back, which only a few did, we saw nothing. A refund would be appropriate under these circumstances. The only highlight of the evening was the food from Passiflora, absolutely delicious and the sole reason we stayed.

She and her husband Jaime were so welcoming and friendly when we arrived-giving us a tour of the venue. My husband and I wanted a wedding that was not traditional-not a beach or church wedding but something in nature and we got just that and more. I had my concerns, but friends from the area spoke wonders of this venue, it was inexpensive and available for out date (believe it or not, we planned our wedding in two months) and I trusted everything would be fine. Well, if you can't tell by the pictures I uploaded, the venue is great, roomy, clean and looked great. We hosted our wedding for 130 people. We did the ceremony and reception on the same place and had plenty of room to dance. Staff was understanding and accommodating with us. We arrived to PR a week before the wedding and was unable to travel to this city on the west coast (I was staying on the north coast) until 2 days prior to the wedding. Administration payed attention to our concerns and trusted us as well. All in all, this IS a great venue and is well known in Mayagüez for hosting great parties. Very pleased with the service and venue. Definitely recommend it!
