I live in a 55 and older community. We tried the produce delivery on Mondays. These bags are $5…read moreplus delivery. They do not let you pick them up. Our delivery fee was $10. It's important to note that they advertise this as a farmers market. Because I live in a retirement low income community, they brought extra bags and sold them to our residents. We realize this is left over produce from a sale they have the day before and were not expecting anything fancy. What we got was rotten food and food from the food bank. Lesson learned. The next day, they asked on their social media page for feedback. I posted about the low quality of food and the food bank staples of rice and beans being in the bags. Essentially, we were paying for food bank food. I was not rude. This started a tyrade of text messages. They stated they do not buy the food locally. Rather, they buy it from state vendors and listed Kent and Auburn, Wa. She further stated that if you sell produce, you are a farmers market. Uh, no, you are not. I didn't argue with her. She then said it's leftover food that's marked down and we should be happy with what we got. I told her some people thought the bags were great and we would try again. They then deleted my comment from social media and blocked me from their page. This is sad. 10 of us were heading for that sale next Sunday to pick out our own produce. Additionally, at least 20 people wanted to try the delivery one more time. Now we won't be going at all. That is just riculous. If you can not handle criticism, why ask for feedback? I would have chalked up my experience to a bad first impression. I would not have written a review. I always give places another chance. Given this one-time experience, I would be very leery of buying or taking food from this company. It's appears they are exploiting poor people. You are buying free food bank food. Some of the items that I have found and fallen in love with are a mint-in-box 1962 Skipper doll, a beautiful red wool cape from the 50's, in excellent condition, and several pieces of my grandmother's china as well. Recenlty I purchased a vinage pair of opal earings from their Ebay site. I love that the proceeds from my purchases support Heartlinks Hospice, a local non porfit agency. I have been a frequent donor to this Goodwill for three years. The employees receiving donations…read moreare often rude. Today, I brought two boxes of items to donate. Without even looking inside, they dumped them into a larger shopping bin, breaking and damaging some of the contents inside the box. This happens frequently when I have donated things. If I wanted to break and trash my items, I would throw them directly into the garbage myself. I donate to Goodwill in order to allow other people to add value to their lives from my unused items. If my donations are being treated like garbage, it detracts from value that Goodwill customers could be receiving from them. When you are doing the right thing and donating to a nonprofit and your efforts are clearly not appreciated, it is very disheartening. I will no longer be donating to this Goodwill and am very disappointed.
