Ashley was…read morethoughtful and clearly experienced, and gave me a to-die-for honey balayage that was exactly what I asked for- subtle, dimensional and blended against my brunette hair. It seriously looks like my hair is glowing and lit from within now. She also gave me the exact haircut I wanted, and checked and double checked it along the way with me to make sure I was happy. I walked out of that salon feeling like a supermodel with a million bucks. Her amazing talents aside, she has such a sweet personality! My whole morning with Ashley was natural and easy- we chatted along like we had known each other forever. I cannot recommend Ashley Spanier at The Boulevard Hair Co enough- you will NOT be disappointed. The salon itself is beautiful, stylish, and clean. It's definitely busy and you need to plan ahead to get an appointment, but that's for a reason- they're extremely talented. I'll be back in a few months for more!

I'm giving three stars because I don't want to completely ruin the salons rating for one person,…read moreotherwise I'd give 1. What I think I've determined about this salon is that it is a location with hair stylists operating individually and renting a chair (this is the vibe I got), so I feel that giving less stars is not helpful for the others operating out of this location. I'm a travel nurse and just took a job an hour away from Greenville, but decided it would be worth a day trip into a bigger city for someone with good experience to do my hair (since I'm new to the area I really only have reviews and photos to go on). I called on a Friday to make an appointment for Saturday and a woman answered the phone. I had done research on the salon and wanted a specific person based on photos I'd seen. That person was unavailable but the woman who answered said that she had availability. I told her I'd think about it and left my number for the other person to call me back. I then got a text from that woman, her name was Sunny, with a link to her instagram and again emphasizing her availability on Saturday. After looking at her work, I decided to make an appt so I called back and booked with Sunny. Remember when I said I live an hour away? Well, about 30 min into my drive I got a TEXT from Sunny canceling... 1 I don't look at my texts while driving and 2 I was already en route so I didnt know it was canceled til I arrived in Greenville. Granted, she said she didn't feel well apparently from something she ate the night before.. the optimist in me really wants to think she was telling the truth so I'm trying not to feel upset, but it was just extremely annoying that I had even asked for a different stylist/colorist yet she emphasized availability and sent me her intragram portfolio as a gesture of really wanting my business and then threw it out the door... I guess in the end, this is a review for Sunny. If you book with her, just beware, she may cancel on you.

Johnny does a great job, he's very professional and tends to each customer individually to make sure they get the cut they want. He is very well versed in not just cutting hair, but he also has knowledge of how to get the look that YOU want. I have been to many places and told them what I wanted, but nobody has worked with me to figure out how to make the style I desired fit with my hair type and the way it grows. The quality of work that is done at this establishment is second to none. Regardless if there is nobody in the waiting room and I get a ~30 minute cut or if there are many people in the waiting room and I get a 10-15 minute cut, the work is second to none and is always high quality. Also, the environment that this establishment provides is unique. The shop has character and you can tell that it is an established business in the Greenville and ECU community (and the pool table is a plus, too!). When I say this believe me - This is the absolute best place to get a mens haircut in Greenville hands down.
