I had a bad experience last Saturday: I came in, asked if they do appointments and the hairdresser explained: 'no Termine', just wait here. I thought this was reasonable and there was only one customer before me, while the two hairdressers were finishing up their clients, so I thought this looks good. But then this other customer comes in saying that she has an appointment at 12. The hairdresser who told me to wait takes her suddenly before me, and I gesture: what is happening, I thought you said 'no Termine'. And he says: this is something else, this is Coupon. Really? Are you taking me for an idiot? If that woman would not have come, he would have done my hair as it was really my turn. I got so angry for being lied at, that I left the shop, without getting a haircut. What is the point to say to your customers: we don't do appointments, when you just undo that rule in front of your client to whom you promised to take care of? This is really bad for business. It is all about clear communication and managing expectations, and since they failed to do so, I felt very frustrated and disrespected as a customer. I also lost 30 minutes of my valuable time. This may be a German thing, but you can't explain this to anyone in the world. I even thought Germans were very sensitive about keeping the line. Either you have appointments, or you don't. But not a double system with double standards. read more
