Wow! This hotel is AMAZING seriously. Can't believe it's not talked about more. I've been to many 5 star hotels and nothing like this one. Service is above and beyond. They have everything you need here. So close to the beach, rooms and hotel are beautiful!! Walking distance( less than 5 mins) to the promenade/strip. They have a gym and balcony's in every room. They offer beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas with your stay. They have a mini refrigerator in rooms stocked with goodies along with snacks to bring to the beach on top. Tyrone helped us out since the hotel also provides rental e-bikes and cruisers to ride along the beach for a good price!! Tyrone is a literal angel, his service is out of this world . He helped us with our stay tremendously. Seriously couldn't recommend this place more, My family and I would come back here 1000% our next beach day at Hermosa. Thank you H2O Hermosa!!!

Pros: Location-a block from the beach and 2 blocks from the Pier Quiet No issues with internet Clean and newly renovated Strong shower pressure Parking under the building Cons: Locked mini-bar (not sure why it was locked) Balcony view was of neighbors balconies Resort fee of $20/night (not sure what for) Bathroom on the small side Didn't get to try the morning coffee or breakfast. I imagine the prices will be much higher in the summer given the great location.

I love the service and the location is fantastic! Only a few blocks from the Strand. I stayed here for the music festival last weekend and really enjoyed here. Natalia was very welcoming, detailed and always available to help out for any questions. I also love the modern look, and breakfast that definitely a plus! I would definitely come back here, thank you!

I will definitely stay here again as the onsite service was great, friendly, and I like the decor and area. A couple of minor things. 1) Pretty much every light in my room was installed crooked, the shower drain was also installed poorly, there were scuff marks on the walls, one outlet was so loose my charger wouldn't stay in, but it didn't matter because the USB outlet worked, and considering this hotel is fairly new, I can't tell or don't know if it was NOT renovated or if it was just built in such a rush, or there was just so much wear and tear in the short time it has been in business. 2) Everyone is super helpful when you are there, but I had been emailing a few months in advance and none of my emails went answered. So I finally called and they did have the NOTES in my profile, but no one ever got back to me to say all was fine or to answer my questions, etc. When I called I was half expecting them to not have my reservation. 3) The shower was clean, but not spotless/brand-new looking like I am used to when staying in a hotel room. The lobby smells great. I have no idea what they use, but it might be an electric Air Wick scented oil plug in thing. :) I didn't use the gym or go on the roof so I can't speak to that. I did like my room though. I could hear the room above me walking around even though I asked if there was a room above me and was told no. I thought the roof would be above me. The continental breakfast was more a long the lines of yogurt, granola bar, an apple, mini muffins (like you might get in a vending machine), and a small bottle of OJ, etc. It came in a brown bag. Next door is Chef Melba's Bistro which I LOOOOOOOOVE. I ate there every single day for 3 days straight.

The pictures on the website do NOT do this place justice. This is a gem! Absolutely perfect lobby/bar area, very cozy, and the floors have their own lobby sitting areas. For what you pay for other Hermosa hotels, this one stands out! I will be back for sure!!

Perfect Location. The location is close, convient and perfect distance to the beach. There is a nice park, bike path and a shoet walk to a variety of places to eat. The hotel is sleek and modern and Mr. Tyrone has the best hospitality!!! He was friendly, helpful and knowledgable of the local area. Oscar was great in helping us out with the parking arrangments and had a great attitude. Overall wonderdul experience Thanks to Mr. Tyrone and Oscar!!!

This boutique hotel has it all... parking allotments, complimentary beach towels, in-room nescafe machine (I dont drink coffee but they had tea bag options), complimentary brown bag breakfast, rooftop patio area, and most rooms have their own balcony...although we didn't get one because the hotel was sold out to a beach volleyball tournament. There is a small park close-by and the beach is just steps away. It's not by the pier- but it's just a couple of blocks away...who wants to be right next to the pier? I want quiet when I'm on vacation. I'd come back here in a heartbeat . The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. The room itself has a very spacious feel to it and you can select "mood" lighting to go along with the occasion (nice touch). The only thing that I would change is having a balcony....other than that it was perfect.

Special thank you to Aliyah for making my birthday weekend helpful, and being able to accommodate an early check in. I didn't get to use hotel amenities like spa, hot tub, gym... but I took a lovely bath, enjoyed the continental breakfast with a view, and most importantly felt safe traveling alone. I'll definitely be back again and highly recommend this spot.

The service here is next level and truly consistent across the entire property. The front desk team was phenomenal. Jasmine, Aaliyah, Chantal, and Latoya were all incredibly warm, professional, and welcoming. Every interaction felt genuine and thoughtful, and each of them contributed to the wonderful experience I had! I didn't catch everyone's names, but every single staff member I encountered during my stay was fantastic. It's rare to find a hotel where the service is this consistently great. They also gave some of the best local recommendations I've ever gotten from a hotel. From meals to my morning coffee, their suggestions were spot on. I now have a few new favorite spots in the South Bay thanks to them. Their knowledge of the area and where to eat is truly invaluable and made the trip even better. The valet also deserves a shout out. On the day I left, they went completely above and beyond. They actually came up to my room to grab my bags, and when I walked downstairs expecting to hand over my ticket, my car was already pulled up and waiting for me. My bags were already loaded into the car. It was such an over the top level of service and the perfect way to end the stay. The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed, and having the ocean right outside your window is incredible. Stepping out onto the balcony and seeing the beach and water directly in front of you is such a special experience. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves at night and waking up to the ocean in the morning made the stay feel truly special. I also loved that they provide beach chairs and towels for guests, which makes enjoying the beach completely effortless. The kitchenette in the room was such a great touch as well. It made it easy to put together a little charcuterie spread and enjoy it out on the balcony while taking in the ocean view. And the bath was absolutely amazing..the perfect way to relax after a day by the beach. Yes, this is a pricier hotel, but it is absolutely worth every penny. Between the location, the views, the comfort of the rooms, and the exceptional staff, it delivers an experience that truly stands out. As someone who travels often, I can confidently say this is one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've had. I will be back!

I drove my car and had asked about parking right before we arrived. I had called and talked to the front desk manager and asked about a vase for flowers which he didn't have. I asked him if he had this a regular glass there and he said yes. The day before I arrived and because this was booked by my girlfriend's son, I didn't know the sleeping arrangements saying we needed it two beds. I called and got voicemail the day before and someone called me back about a couple hours later. I asked if there were two beds in the room and he said no there's a bed and then there is a fold out sofa. I said oh great I will take the fold out sofa and let my girlfriend take the bed. When I arrived at the hotel with my car, I didn't know where I was parking and it wasn't. The hotel is on the beach, but it's also in a very crowded area. I went in and spoke with the front desk guy. He said his name was Chris. He hurriedly explained how I could get to the parking spot and that was CF because of the instructions he gave me. After finding the parking garage, we did receive help from Chris to unload our luggage. My girlfriend is much older and I didn't allow her to carry anything so it was just me and him. We proceeded into the hotel and after we were in there... Yes, the room seemed nice and a little standard for a boutique. I immediately heard people on the floor right above us walking back-and-forth and there was no way that that was going to work out because she had traveled all the way from Denver for this and we had traveled from North Hollywood down to Hermosa Beach and.just a lot of travel, which made us weary When I asked about getting another room, which I knew it was full because it's pretty small Hotel he said he had put us on the first floor because he thought that we would not be able to climb the stairs to get to the second floor. I told him we're both able, and even though my girlfriend is older she is limber enough to climb stairs. I think he saw the concern on my face that we might leave because we hadn't unpacked anything so he did ask the people who had moved in to the top floor to switch with us. It was nice of them and they said yes we will switch. As we were getting ready for eating our food which we ordered in, I noticed there was only one wine glass and one fork. One spoon. So we managed through it for eating. As we got ready for bed, I unfolded the sofa bed and there was a huge urine stain on the mattress and now I had to find sheets. I could not find them anywhere and called the number to get help. Chris then texted me and said "I've I received many calls from you today. If it is not urgent, you could just text me and ask me. There's no need for you to call me repeatedly" Now he was inferring that I could not call him so to speak. he texted me to let me know where the sheets were. I had called him the day before and talked with him that I would be using that fold out bet. I think it was his job to point out where the sheets were when we moved into the room. I feel that because we were senior citizens we were disregarded! I asked him on text "is this how you treat senior citizens "? And I told him that I am a customer here that has paid for the room already. The next morning, the Keurig coffee maker did not work and there were only two coffee pods for both of us. Not enough I ended up at the market trying to get coffee for both of us. I didn't bother calling him about the coffee maker. I was already just too disgusted with his attitude towards. when we checked out, he was nowhere to be found.

Some areas of my hotel room need to be updated, plus the amount of noise between rooms and to the outside is unacceptable. Had trouble sleeping the first night because I practically heard every word from the guests in the next room. However, aside from that, it was clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was fantastic and well-stocked. On a personal note, on weekends breakfast should go until at least 10, if not slightly later as some people like to sleep late. It was close to lots of things, the beach, restaurants, a pharmacy, grocery store and lots of restaurants. I walked a lot and it was great. There was always coffee/tea in the lobby, a little store off the lobby with some drinks, and snacks. A small fitness center and pool that I didn't use and limited free parking for one vehicle. I Ubered from the airport due to high costs of fuel, but at least free parking is an option if you drive or rent a car.
