Today I officially stopped in. Come to find out the brand is young, having only been founded in 2005. Clothes are indeed made with natural fibers that are designed to be particularly resistant yet worn as every day wear. Mohairs, cotton, jersey, etc...thus I was not too off by picking this up in their window display. The shop is small and I felt like there was not very much product to see. Nobody said hello to me as I flipped through the clothes around the shop for a few minutes. Clothes are piced in the $1000-$3000 price range on average (not on sale and this is what I was seeing for fall/winter clothing) for stuff that I was not sure about on craftsmanship or quality. There were some unknowns in my head as I perused the racks. Maybe a line to watch as it grows in the world or maybe another Yelper can contribute more info about what I should love about this line or this store, but to me it gets a Yelp 3. The Yelper who wrote the review in August of 2014 before mine loves this brand, but based on her photos she was shopping during the summer sale time.

There are lots of blues, whites, creams and other calming colors throughout. Manila Grace is an Italian brand that houses casual, chic clothing. The styles are very relaxed and the fabrics are light and airy. I saw many pieces that I would consider wearing in the store that looked comfortable, but also had a bit of an edge to them. According to my husband, who thinks he pegged my style, this is a classy hippy clothing store. Manila Grace also has some very unique accessories which are available for purchase. They have gorgeous scarves and I was infatuated with their partially woven jewelry. I found a necklace that I liked that was half rose gold colored, and the other half is woven. and the salesperson kept showing it to me in different colors. When I finally selected the one I wanted to purchase, she showed me a different length of the necklace which made my decision making even more challenging. Manila Grace brings style to classic comfort. This is a very popular style in Hong Kong, so this store will probably be around for a while. Prices are mid-ranged and they use high quality fabrics so that clothing will last.

Great clothes that are structured, timeless, a great price point and with the exception of anything made from merino wool (I dont buy merino wool, because I dont like how it can snag), all of the fabrics from COS have washed really well and retained their shape with little worry. As Topshop in Queensway doesn't have many bags (if any at all) I headed to Zara. None of the other stores crossed my mind. What's more: I knew I could find what I was after - a big black bag, rather simple. This season is plagued with those, with a good range of qualities and prices. I finally got Trafaluc one and I love it, it does its job and it's nicely designed. They also have some pretty brown leather bags in this collection. I did have a look at the clothes too; Zara HK is different to Europe's stores (the ones I know) in many ways...not only the design is more minimalistic and the lines simpler but it is also more expensive and it's positioning differs from Europe's. I found the current collection a little boring but still, great to have a Zara just 2 minutes away from my office!

The area is well maintained and clutter-free despite volumes of visitors on the daily. The styles are very Japan-esque and the clothes are very comfy and quality. The stationary section is super well stocked and prices are very reasonable too. I always look forward to visiting this store to stock up on supplies and to find new items to take home. The cashier is extremely efficient and the long lines move fast. Paying with Octopus, Alipay, or credit can earn you points on The Point app, but cash is also welcome.

I had two options: H&M in TST or this one...a little further but located in a place where I hadn't been before, CityPlaza. Now, if there's something I hate it's crowds (good for me, I live in Hong Kong!) so I really wasn't in the mood for a busy place. I took the MTR to Tai Koo and went up the stairs...there it was. H&M is even signaled so you won't get lost, and you don't need to come out to street level, convenient. H&M in CitiPlaza has only two floors and it's a lot smaller than the one in TST, but as I was looking around I could notice they still had a lot of different models and sizes. Pretty much all of them actually. They also have men, children, lingerie, basics and sports. Oh, and a big section on sales right now! It's a smaller version of the other but a lot less busy. A lot. I went to the fitting rooms three times because I wasn't falling in love with anything. There wasn't anyone counting clothes and I went straight to the changing room every time. I finally found something that fitted, yes! But I had been to TST, I wouldn't have had the patience or the time to wait in line...and I would have left the shop empty handed, I'm sure.

Bershka is one of my favorite stores to shop at. I've been a fan ever since I stumbled upon it at…read morethe basement level of Times Square. Over the next few months, I emerged from the store shopping bag in hand more often than I didn't, When Bershka was replaced by something else about a year ago, I'm not going to lie... I was a little crushed. But ever since I realized that there's a bigger Bershka over at Olympian City in Tai Kok Tsui, I've more than gotten over it. The Bershka here is less crowded than it used to be at Times Square, presumably because of its more offbeat location in Olympic. There's always a section filled with great sales, and it's not like other stores where with things on sale, only the L's and XL's are left - they usually have what I like in my size. And best of all, the changing rooms are great! There are more than five cubicles and they're all pretty spacious. There's hardly a need to line up for the changing rooms, compared to the old one at Times Square - I think I had to queue up every time there! The style at Bershka is pretty diverse - you can find full-on animal print stuff, or you can opt for a basic, solid color tee. They've got super casual tanks and shorts, but if you're attending something more formal like a prize ceremony or a fancy dinner, you'll be able to find something here too. While Bershka is catered to the younger audience, my mother has been able walk out with a couple of buys, so it goes to show that there's something for everyone here! Best of all, Bershka is pretty affordable. Tops on sale aren't usually more than $100, and most of their jeans are on sale right now for just $139! The quality is not bad too. So what are you waiting for? Come on down to Bershka before they put most of those sale items away and bring out the fall items - you won't walk out empty-handed!
