Up charging and balance billing are illegal fraudulent actions and Story Dental continues to do both. They should be sued for malpractice. Worst dental office in San Jose. This makes it easy and fast during check in. Lots of parking in the area. There's not much privacy as the seats are only divided by partitions so we can hear people next to us but I didn't mind that. There's a few times where I felt like I was going to drown as my mouth was filled with water while lying down in the chair. I told her that she used a lot of water, she kind of laughed it off and did use the suction a bit more often than before but I don't think she realized how uncomfortable it was for me. I've cleaned my teeth every 6 months or so but I've never had such an uncomfortable experience. Other than that, it's great. So, it might be something you want to let the hygienist know before you start your cleaning.

No greeting, no introduction, just immediately questioning why I had not seen a root canal specialist. Mind you, during my last visit I followed the notes and guidance I was given. I later found out I was misinformed about how that referral process works, which is fine because things happen, but the way she addressed it today was completely unprofessional. Her tone and mannerisms were rude, and she made me feel uncomfortable and honestly disrespected. I cannot have someone working on my mouth while giving off that kind of energy. At one point she was pulling on my cheek to force my mouth open more, and I have never had that issue with any other provider there. It was not just what she was doing, it was how she was doing it, and her gossiping! What made it worse is that she went to the front desk and spoke as if I had been properly informed about the specialist when I was not. As a patient, I should never be made to feel confused or at fault for miscommunication on the office's end. I have always had great experiences here, which is why this was so disappointing. After today, I will not be seeing Dr. Hazin again. If I had known beforehand that others had similar experiences with her, I would have requested a different provider.
