The course is very cool. It doesn't have the over the top waterfalls and pirate ships that the myrtle beach courses do but offers a great campy feel with the comfort of being indoors(so rain or shine). The decor had us laughing, exploring, and generally loving the place with its great scenes of Pirate life on ships, in taverns and in the Caribbean. The course is a little deceptive. You look at it thinking it won't be hard and granted I'm no golfer but the total par is something like 38 and I finished with a 53(I won by the way). It offers a perfect degree of difficulty without being impossible but enough to keep the laughs going as you and your friends stumble through twists, turns, angles, tunnels and inclines. I hope this place sticks around as it's a fun distraction from everyday life and is made for all ages. One of the very few places to go and act like a kid in Greenville. It is also open late and has free popcorn after you are done!

There are two dog runs, both seem about the same size. Had a great time today playing with my very active dog! It makes for a nice change from the yard and he got to do a ton of sniffing. They have bags available for picking up dog doo and trash cans to dispose of it, and when it isn't winter it looks like they have water available (as well as restrooms in a short walking distance, also closed in winter). Note that it might not be perfect for those who want to throw frizbees or shoot balls out as far as they can; the runs aren't very big. A large dog can still run, just not for very long unless it wants to do a bunch of cornering. If you have an adopted greyhound, it would be too small for a safe full-speed run (though still way better than nothing).

Given the relative dearth of dog parks in the area, this is such a welcomed feature for this side of town, saving many folks the drive to the Greenville Off Leash Dog Area. What I have heard others say about Ayden's Dog Park - and what I have witnessed myself - is the quality of the turf. The ground is hard and the grass is thick and covered, making it a nice and relatively clean place for dogs to run around and play, even after there's been some rain. My dog and I really enjoyed it here when we came to visit from Greenville, though the only downside (or not? depending...) is that I have never seen another dog there (yet). I do not think it has grown in popularity such that you can expect another playmate at all times. Sometimes, that is good, though, leaving more room for you to play with your fur baby!

Unless you happen to live in the neighborhood and can walk here from your house there is only one Street that you can park on and you have to travel around the block to get to that one. The park itself has a lot of old growth trees and has a few benches to sit down on and has one poop bag dispenser and one trash can? But again, it is a dog park, and you can bring your fur puppy here and let them have a blast. Mostly the ground is grass but the entryway is all dirt.

The North Carolina Estuarium is located in Downtown Washington, NC. It is the first estuarium in…read morethe world and focuses on the environment. The NC Estuarium offers ferry rides on the Tar and Pamlico Rivers at various times during the year. I really enjoy the rides as you might see some wildlife besides the plant life. The captain provide fun facts along the way too. The museum is 12,500 square foot and serves as an education center. It provides a great overview of the estuaries and coastal rivers which are an important part of the ecosystem where fresh water and salt water mix. 90% of NC seafood comes from estuaries. We need to keep these waterways clean. In the lobby the display is large and shows the different parts of North Carolina. The NC Esturium is part museum and part aquarium. The aquarium focuses just on estuary species. It has over 200 exhibits and a lot are hands on. The part about the hurricanes was informative and showed the damage done from the rising sea levels. I highly recommend visiting this unique museum.
