Anything you need for arts & craft or decorations they have it and with some good choice! I've now been in a few times when I need to pick up bits and bobs or essentials for work i.e. scissors etc. Loads of interesting present and gift ideas in here as well so if you're out and about birthday shopping or it's coming up to christmas - I'd say Fred Aldous is a great option with some similar style stuff to Oklahoma! Most of the stuff here is well priced and I've always been fairly surprised that my total wasn't higher when purchasing as I think the interior and style gives off an expensive vibe but really it's good value for money! It is a traditional arts and crafts shops, selling quality materials in the way of fine paint brushes, drawing pencils of many kinds, quality paper meant for certain tasks etc. As I say in many other of my reviews, I prefer a more creative way of finding imaginative materials in unexpected places, rather than conforming to these sorts of traditional (overpriced) shops, but for what it is, it is a great thing to have in Headingley, away from the busy pub ridden road.

I was delighted to find this store, just a half hour south in Leeds. The store was spacious and bright. There were an extraordinary assortment of metal dies from multiple companies. And plenty of rubber stamps, both wood mounted and clear, to choose from. The scrapbook paper selection was on the small side, but had beautiful choices. There were also ample paper pads. I appreciated the card sample table at the very front of the store, offering inspiration. My only wish was that the store stayed open later on weekdays.
