i've been in customer for over a decade and I have not once made a complaint. My mother had an…read moreestate account with a Visa. My mother passed away recently and I called the call Center to see if I was liable for paying her visa -initially I was told that I was not liable. Then the representative called me back and told me that I am liable for paying her visa and if I don't pay the visa, then I will have to close the Estate account. I was really upset so I sent a message via email. They sent me a letter acknowledging that they had given me incorrect information. I had to talk to an estate attorney to get advice on what to do. I had to go into the branch and move the money so that the money wasn't used on my mom's. I received a letter stating I am not liable for my moms visa account. Then I receive collection notices stating that they would report the information to the credit bureaus under my name and that they do have the right. to take money and apply it towards the visa. I literally still have no idea what the correct answer is, but I do know that calling the contact center was a huge hassle for me because I had to call them back and now I've had to call their collection department as well. Keep in mind my mom has just died. She was a member since the 80s. I'm going to upload pictures to show their many inconsistencies.. I will say I do really like everyone in the Poway branch. They have been really kind to me going through this process and I like that I have a safe deposit box there. However, next week I plan on taking all the money that was in the estate account out and opening a new account with a different CU. Calling the contact center was a mistake. They put me through the ringer for asking a question after my mom dies.

As all California residents know it is difficult to find someone to write a homeowners policy AND get a decent quote. Our previous agent was with Allstate. They wrote our homeowners with American Modern. The reason for the switch was American Modern raised our premium over 4K and we always paid on time and never filed a claim. Derek was able to write our homeowners with Farmers and the auto policy was about the same as Allstate. I know not everyone will be able to get a homeowners policy with Farmers but I am glad Derek was able to do so for us. In a time where customer service is lacking in many areas, Derek has been exceptional for us.
