We have lived in Prescott for nearly seven years after relocating from California. I remained with…read moremy longtime CPA until he retired at the end of 2022, after which I began the challenging process of finding a new CPA locally. Many firms were not accepting new clients. I received one referral and worked with that firm in 2023, but the relationship was strained and ultimately not the right fit for us. I continued searching, and after referrals from friends led nowhere, a Google search brought me to Jim. He had just reopened his practice, so there were only a few Google reviews at the time--but they were all five stars. I then researched Jim's CPA background in California, where his reviews were also consistently excellent. After our first conversation, I felt immediately at ease. Jim explained that he had moved to Prescott to retire, but after finding retirement a bit too quiet, he decided to reopen his practice. Fortunately for us, we found him before he stopped taking new clients again. Our first two tax years working with Jim were straightforward, but the coming year will be far more complex. A home we originally intended to live in is now a rental, and the stress of understanding how to properly structure and manage that situation was significant. Jim carefully walked us through multiple options, patiently explained the implications of each, and helped us choose the best path forward. Jim's background is exceptionally comprehensive, and his knowledge and guidance have been instrumental to our long-term tax planning and overall peace of mind. Just as important, he brings a personal element to the relationship that our prior CPA lacked. He combines professionalism with genuine care, which makes working with him both comfortable and reassuring. We feel very fortunate to have found Jim. Mimi and Scott Macey Prescott Arizona

5 Star reviews are not meant to be handed out lightly. And any potential tax situations should not…read morebe treated lightly either. Mr. Perlman's 30+ years of experience is what caught my attention when I found myself in need of a true tax pro, and when you want to get straight forward answers to any tax question you may have, this is a man you need to strongly consider turning to. He was able to quickly address several concerns I had, recommended withholding changes to avoid future tax issues, and he explained the arcane and byzantine tax code in plain English that made it easy to understand what needed to be done, and more importantly why. If you find yourself in need of serious tax help Mr. Perlman's 30+ years of expertise is worth every penny spent. If you are tired of sleepless nights while being worried about your taxes, you need to pick up the phone and book an appointment now. This man will help you find the answers you need, and help you make sure Uncle Sam gets exactly what he's supposed to get, and not a cent more. 5 Stars. He's earned those 5 Stars, my respect, and my most heartfelt appreciation.

Mr. Pearlman's so called services did absolutely nothing to help our situation but what his services did do, is waste our time and money. What he charged us for we could have easily done on our own without wasting a dime. I donot recommend his services at all.

Definitely plan to stay with Chantal moving forward for tax returns and consulting. We chose to go with Chantal after contacting and talking to several CPA's. I liked that she is a sole proprietor and not a multi-accountant firm (more personalized service), her pricing is fair, and she was very up-front about what she could / could not do and even suggested we screen CPAs in the valley. As well her accounting background is solid, including stints working for big firms. So far all our interactions have been remote (which I like), but since she's local there's the option of meeting face to face should the need arise. I find Chantal to be professional, prompt, and attends appointments on time. She answers questions promptly, and even sends reminders when we had an outstanding action. I like that she uses the TaxDome portal for our exchanges: sending documents back and forth, and chat messages for Q&A. For me, this is much more convenient than having to drive to someone's office, and pick up the phone and call every time I have a question.
