But, I had forgotten, after having had DFI do our taxes every year for decades, that convoluted tax instructions involving mathematics and I have never been on good speaking terms. So my mother, who has her taxes done at DFI as well, said, and I quote her, "Seriously. You're an idiot. Go back to DFI." So I did. And DFI, looking at the federal and state tax documents I had filed for the three years, as well as this past year's, found more than $7000 that we were due but I had completely overlooked. And so DFI filed amended documents for me. Seriously, is there better proof available that I am an idiot? Never again will I do my own taxes. Bonus! Because my mother referred us, she got $50 from DFI as a reward for making the referral.

At the time we opened the account, they had a great rate on CDs so we invested in one. So now we use both Kellogg and our original credit union.
