Because of Ken Crowder's constant procrastination and his incompetence, our taxes did not get filed…read morecorrectly or on time for 5 years. Causing us to pay the IRS over $5,000 in late filing fees and penalties. Plus over $1500.00 to have another CPA firm fix his mistakes. As we were getting notices from the IRS, we'd turn them over to Mr Crowder. He assured us it was not his fault and that these issues were being taken care of. I have documentation (emails) where he admits after the fact, that he didn't know what he was doing, that he was trying to save us money by doing our employment taxes. I feel that if he didn't know what he was doing he should have told us ahead of time. He did not save us money, but cost us thousand of dollars in penalties and interest to the IRS, as well as a Levy put on our company checking account for 3 days. Not to mention the mental stress I've suffered getting continual letters from the IRS. Every notice that we rec'd from the IRS was immediately given to Mr Crowder. Most of the time he wasn't even in his office. We had to slide the paperwork under his door. Mr Crowder has the opinion that no one has ever died from not paying their taxes on time. These were words that came out of his mouth. He admitted to me when we started getting these notices, that he was sorry. But he had a lot going on in his personal life. He was going through a divorce, then met a lady in the Philippians. For 3 years we rec'd letters from the IRS. It got to the point where we had to hire another firm to take care of these issues. Within a couple of months the other firm had helped us to get things taken care of correctly. Because of Mr Crowder's incompetence. I asked him to help with the late fee's and penalties. Which he refused to do. I would not recommend Crowder Accounting to anyone.

Went to Jackson Hewitt at Walmart in 2020 and he had my taxes done in like 15 minutes. Went there…read moreto sign and he said we owed $2700. Now mind you, we've never owed before. We paid him and paid the IRS. Skip to 2021 and had H & R Block do our taxes. Got back plenty. They said they could look over our 2020 if we wanted them to. Gave them my taxes and just found out that we should have gotten a $800 refund. Jackson Hewitt never added my daughter on my tax form. So I was out $2700 and should have gotten a $800 refund. Looks like they will NEVER get my business again.

I've been with this company for a minute now, but today I witness something that people have been…read moresaying for a min. That manager Randy is such a unprofession, mean, condescending and disrespectful man. Today he made me never want to come into that place of business again! I watched him allow another customer sit in the front for 20 mins while the other young lady Trenis do my loan to then have her to stop what she was doing to now call the other customer to come back where he was. Now it's already 5:15 Trenis is trying to finish me up then another lady walks in. The lady was waiting on Randy and he sat in the back talking to the lady he had for another 20 min about tattooes instead of working getting done and helping the other customer. The customer kept asking could he help her but Randy never stopped talk and showing off his tattooes. Once Trenis was done with me it was 530 he was still talking and showing picture I walked out and shock my head. To me he wasn't that busy to not do the customers loan he was showing her she wasn't going to rush his conversation like she was as important. I just thought that was wrong but I hear he always do people like that. He just showed me proof.
