However, this last year, I came in for a 2:00 p.m. appointment on 2/24/15. Someone had scheduled a North Liberty couple to go to the Marengo office. They showed up at the North Liberty office at 1:30 p.m. Kevin took that couple and sent me home. He took my tax file, and despite my mentioning that we'd inherited a lot of money, did not tell me that I needed a K-1 estate form and did my taxes without going through them with me or calling me about them. He said he'd "make it up to me" with a personal delivery on Friday to my home. Friday: no show, no call. At 4 p.m. I call his office. He's not there, but the taxes are done. The office calls him, he calls me, and that's when I find out we need a K-1 form. I'm getting my tax file back from Kooyman and going elsewhere. Don't like unprofessional, rude treatment.
