My husband and I made an appointment, but when we arrived we still had to wait about 45 minutes past our appointment time before we met with our advisor. We had both left work early in order to make our appointment time, so we were both pretty upset.
The guy we met with was really knowledgeable, however, and really helped us understand the tax process. We got married last year and bought our first house, so we really wanted to make sure we filled everything out correctly. We ended up owing taxes, but he still tried other ways of filing to see if the amount could be lowered. He gave us a lot of great advice on what we can do for filing taxes next year so we can end up owing less or even getting a bigger refund.
All in all, we had an ok experience with H&R Block, we just wish they could stick to their appointment times. read more
