If I could give zero stars I would. I was referred to this place and made an appointment before…read moretax season (heck, before Christmas) to address some tax needs from previous years. I was seeing one of the owners or the son of the owner. He agreed to handle my situation and said he would contact me after the holidays before he was ready to finalize my work. After multiple calls I finally spoke to him again more than a month later. I was given an excuse for the delay and lack of follow-up and assured it would be taken care of no later than the following Monday (this call was on a Wednesday). Almost 3 weeks later and after I called again to see what the status was the gentlemen I saw still hadn't done the work and needed me to refresh him to the details of my situation. When I voiced my concern and frustration I was given more excuses. I was clear in this conversation I just wanted to pick up my paperwork and tax information and take it elsewhere to be done. At that juncture I was treated dismissively and given attitude at every turn, even when I went to the office to pick up my paperwork. No apology, just attitude and complete lack of professionalism. In the 7 weeks since my original appointment I have spoken to more than a dozen people who had similar or worse experiences. It seems that if you have any tax situation more complicated than a 1040EZ (which you can do yourself for free) or you aren't a family friend who's been going there for years they either treat you like your business isn't important and/or they screw up your taxes. I wouldn't allow this business to handle my taxes even if it was free at this point, not that they offered. I'm always hesitant to criticize a family owned small or local business but after my experience I can't imagine how they've stayed in business this long and wouldn't recommend them to anyone, ever.

Tommy helped my family save a lot of money. My father passed away six years ago and even though I…read moreknew the family did not owe any taxes, my attorney kept insisting that I file them anyway. He kept telling me he had friends who could file my taxes. Instead of using my attorney's accountants, a friend of mine suggested that I see Tommy and I'm glad I did. I walked into his office and less than an hour later he explained to me why my father's estate didn't owe any taxes at all. He even followed up after another 30 minutes by email confirming that he had researched the topic anyway, just to be sure. I'm very satisfied because he could have simply taken advantage of my ignorance and charged my family for work that did not need to be done. It's not tax season and I know that tax accountants are in a feast and famine business, the famine occurring after tax season every year. Honest businessmen like Tommy are precisely what we all need. I recommend him highly.

I just called around to get estimates and luckily stumbled upon this office. When I called to get an estimate I spoke with Cathleen Rutz and she was so helpful even over the phone so I made an appt. I took all my paperwork in with me for my appointment and Cathleen was so patient and kind. She is very knowledgable and up to date on all the ins and outs of filing. And you want to talk about fast!!!! My tax return was ready for me to go in and sign within 48 hours!
