I do NOT recommend this place for your tax return needs…read more They used the wrong account information for our direct deposit even though we told them more than once that the bank account they had on file was no longer active. We even opted for the quick return so we could have our return in about a week, now we have to wait for the bank to reject the deposit, return the money to the IRS, and have the IRS mail us a paper check. What should have been a week is now going to take an extremely long time, this is money we were depending on. When we brought this error to their attention they had a "oh well" attitude, I understand nothing can be done but even the slightest bit of sympathy for them Fing up my finances for the foreseeable future would have been nice. Just absolutely no effort to right the wrong from them. If you feel like waiting extra extra long for your tax return this is the place to use!

He's so good at his job! I recommended him to my whole family. He did my personal as well as business taxes, and everything worked out wonderfully. I have worked with Joe and Nick Boscia for several years and regret my decision. Overpromised and…read moreunderdelivered. My sales taxes were consistently paid late, and I had to personally pay the accrued fines which were usually around $600 because I wouldn't find out until I received a government notice. Bookkeeping was not detailed and consistently late. When I asked for reports like P&L I was constantly ignored. There were many other issues but the main reason I'm writing this review is because after 20 months they are still trying to locate my 2021 tax returns. Joe has been non-communicative and Nick has just brushed me off by forwarding the IRS's phone number. Joe finally contacted me last week and said that it was MY mistake and that the IRS had deposited $20,000 into my corporate bank account in 2022. I knew this wasn't true because I closed that bank account at the end of 2021 when I closed my business. They tried to back up this claim with bogus internal reports. Then out of nowhere, Joe told me to meet him in person to pick up a $20,000 check. I guess they noticed their negligence. I emailed Joe back to confirm and didn't hear from him for two days. When I wrote back to see what was going on, Joe changed his tune and said the IRS was still working on my 2021 return. I let them know that this was an unacceptable answer given everything they tried to pull on me before and Joe began to insult and gaslight me saying things like "learn how to read", "this is the first time I'm hearing about all this", "I think you're scared of me" and "I am the boss. I am in control" among other insults that I have screenshotted. Boscia and Boscia were fully paid for their services. I pay for an accountant to keep the IRS away, but Boscia & Boscia wants me to contact the IRS myself. They'll claim that the IRS is backed up and still processing the refund. However, the level of neglect, accountability, and unprofessionalism was enough for me to write this review. Just know what you're getting yourself into with this company. I will continue to update this review.

Not only is he rude and disrespectful, he is basically incompetent. He seemed like he knew what he was doing but after switching accountants after a couple of years with him, she immediately picked up on several key issues that were causing us to owe taxes.. 2 years, we owed. Thank goodness we decided to make the move to another accountant. He missed so many things in our filings, and they were major issues that any halfway capable accountant should have been able to detect. They were quite obvious. He also gave us some financial advice, but the numbers he gave were all wrong. If you want things done properly, go somewhere, anywhere else. He never gives you a moment to talk or explain things to you. He speaks over you and acts like he is better than you. Truly terrible experience.

During those 15 years, we've had more than one audit by the IRS and our returns have been way too high. He used to be the friendliest, jovial type around, but perhaps he's going through a mid-life crisis - I never received any voice mails about picking up my materials, and when I tried to have a family member pick up my tax documents, the secretary would give my mom/sister a hard time. "Well, I don't know about that", says Vincent. OK, but there's also a payment I need to make to NJ that has a deadline that's already passed. Don't you think that the principle of the matter is that you didn't reach out to me at all about the payment? "It's just $87, I don't know why you're so upset", as he continues to talk over me and raise his voice so I am drowned out. Goodbye! I even gave him a referral, and he treated her with disdain. Just do your taxes yourself; going through the years of returns he's done for us, he's not a step up from Turbo Tax.

I'm sitting in the the East Brunswick, NJ Jackson Hewitt for over an hour now waiting for my 2pm appointment that I made mid week via the phone number for this office. After waiting 20 minutes I assumed I would be the next one in and they were just taking their time with the previous customer..... Nope... I was told that the woman waiting ( who was a walk in) would be next " because I/we don't take appointments" Again, not only did I call mid week for this confirmed appointment, but I called at 12:30 to see if I could come early or of they had an earlier free appointment. I also confirmed my 2pm appointment when they said that there would be walk ins most likely ( like a fool, I drove an hour to get here and assumed they understood what appointment meant). Since I did drive down here and I will be traveling this week, I really have no choice but to stay here and wait ( while missing a family event and the beautiful 70 degree weather). I had used a competitor for about 15 years with no problems, but the past several years I used Jackson Hewitt for convenience. I WAS AN IDIOT!!!! On a positive note... As I'm waiting (1.5 hours now) this is helping me hone my social media and marketing skills on Twitter , Facebook, Yelp and other social media. Thank you Jackson Hewitt for miserable Sunday!
