I recommend against using the Evans, GA H&R Block location and H&R Block products generally for tax preparation. I filed my return for tax year 2016 in this office. H&R Block made an error on my return (failing to claim a deduction to which I was entitled), which I discovered after filing. This error would have cost me almost $1000 had I not found it. I invoked the Maximum Refund Guarantee, which they list prominently in their advertising and on their website, stating that if I find an error, they will refund my tax prep fee. Despite the fact that they acknowledged making the error, and that all the conditions required for the guarantee have been met, they refused to refund my money in accordance with their guarantee. When I contacted their corporate office, they, too, refused to honor their guarantee. In my mind, a company that offers a guarantee and then refuses to live up to it is not a trustworthy company, and I don't know about you, but I certainly don't want an untrustworthy company preparing my tax returns - that's something that's too important to mess up. Update: I eventually got my refund, but it took 2 months and a Better Business Bureau complaint. read more

My fiance went to H&R Block for the first time this year looking for "Peace of Mind", however, our experience was the exact opposite. Liz Conceicao helped us but she provided an atrocious example of customer service and an even worse example of a knowledgeable tax professional. She spent more than half the time coming across errors on the form where she was not able to get past. She kept going back and forth to her book, but even that seemed to confuse her more. Another "Tax Professional" saw she was struggling and came to help her. Instead of accepting the help so we can move on, she began arguing and bickering with the other individual. Both employees were arguing back and forth even though both had customers waiting. It was very unprofessional! Eventually after the third time of getting help, Liz finally was able to move past it. She had manipulated a lot of numbers trying to get things to work and had forgotten what she had done. I asked her about it and reminded her one portion of tax credit information needed to be changed. She is supposed to be the professional, so why should I need to remind her she made an error trying to fix another error. At the end of it, she finally obtained a refund amount. We were however skeptical of the number because she seemed to not know what she was doing. She responded by simply saying it comes from what we just covered. Afterward she came across a screen that had recommendations of how I can change things for next year. Instead of going over it she said these are some recommendations from Watson, but quickly went to another screen. I did not have a chance to look at them nor did she go over any of them. At this point it was just about 5:00 pm so it seemed like she was trying hurry things up so she can go home. One of the final things she asked was if she could book us again for next year. My fiance was very dissatisfied so I denied the request. However, she ignored her response and merely told us to just cancel it via email if we don't want to come back. Liz seemed to not know anything about how to do taxes or anything about how to deal with people. This was a horrible experience and we will not be coming back! read more

The submission failed and no one at their office caught this and their office was not aware this had occurred until we received notification from the IRS in 2016 that they had never received our 2014 tax return. This has taken an enormous amount of effort on our part to resolve. This firm refused to pay the interest on the unpaid taxes. We hired them to perform a service that they failed to perform. We were impressed by her reviews here and on Google and her rapport which was delineated, it seems, by way of her reviews. She was at times overly helpful, communicative, and endorsed professionalism. However, more recent interactions with her have tainted that representation and, in our view, her professionalism. She reached a point in the business relationship where she is unjustifiably offended and makes decisions for you without initially consulting you, and I believe it is because she is a one-woman show and needs help executing. There were a few instances where she wasn't going to be finished cleaning the home in time for check-in of our guests despite being scheduled and informed ahead of time and there was a time when she was still there cleaning when the guests checked in, which is a big no-no in the short-term rental space. Yet, believing in second chances, we continued to utilize her services because we believe, strongly, in supporting Black-owned and woman-owned businesses because we are the one of the same. We always paid her within a couple of hours of receiving her invoices and in full. Her responses to us started to become flippant and misplaced. She made a decision at her last clean for us to take linens from the home without our directive to do so, stating that she would clean them at her own home. We kindly stated to her that was not necessary and she proceeded to, again unjustifiably, respond to us that we thought we were "better than her" and that "her home is clean." We were remarkably taken aback because we never insinuated that her home wasn't clean and she became angry with us for a decision she made without first consulting us. After that text message intercourse, she abruptly resigned and stated that she "no longer wanted to approach the premises." We kindly accepted her decision. We therefore made plans to which she agreed to return our linens that she unilaterally removed from the home and our keys since she resigned, and then she abrupted decided after agreeing that she didn't want to do that and that we were "inconveniencing her." Mind you, she made sure to abruptly resign after she received her payment from us of $825 after delivery of services for the week, which would be her final payment. We never once tried to inconvenience her. We never once did anything to make her feel less than. We never once treated her with any ounce of disrespect or disgrace. We appreciated her and conveyed that to her often. I feel what will impact her ability to sustain a reputable and scalable business is her inability to exhibit emotional intelligence in her dealings with her customers/clients. She would also benefit from hiring additional staff to help her achieve operational excellence focused on efficiency. Finally, she credits herself with the success of our AirBNB as if she were a business partner instead of someone we hired to perform a service. That is all we did and were doing. She took it as more. She was not a business partner and if you hire her company beware of her overattachment and overinvolvement in how you run your business. At the end of the day, we wish her nothing but the best and optimal success, but we just didn't have time for the aggravation from communicating and dealing with her later in this relationship. There are too many cleaning services who would be glad to provide the services we need.

I wanted something that was chemical…read morebut safe for my hardware exterior, didn't want a hard pressure wash that could peel the paint and still leave traces of algae in the side of the house to grow back. They came out and did a quick assessment and had the pricing ready in different price packages that I could mix and match. The difference is the discount you get based in what you want done. I needed gutter cleaning and gutter guard installation, roof debris removal, and home soft wash. It was 20% off the full pricing of getting each done individually. The process was quick and they did a good job with noticeable difference afterwards. No more green algae in the side of the house and the gutter guards have worked really well. I don't have a ton of experience with this stuff but I felt the pricing was fair. I've already recommended to a couple of friends. They are professional and courteous, stand by their product and work.

Revive & Restore Cleaning

We initially hired R&R for laundry services (for our home). We were happy with Sable's laundry…read moreservices and decided to use R&R for full cleaning services. We weren't home for our first cleaning, but we left notes detailing what did and did not need to be cleaned. We also labeled our doors and cabinets (and, notably, it wasn't Sable's first time at the the house). We when got home, I couldn't tell if the cleaners had come or not. At first glance, it didn't appear that they had. The floors hadn't been swept, dishes weren't put away, and the downstairs bathroom wasn't cleaned. I went upstairs and the only rooms that appeared to have been cleaned were the master bath and bedroom. Simply put: it barely looked like cleaners came at all --much less that the house had been professionally cleaned. I reached out to the owner, Terry, to provide him with feedback about the cleaning and to show him pictures of the unswept floors and uncleaned bathrooms (texts attached). His response was that since we weren't there, the cleaners didn't know what to do. (It seems obvious that they should have at least cleaned the bathrooms and swept the floors). I would have expected an apology or offer to come back and complete the job; instead, I was blamed for the cleaners not cleaning. I told Terry that I left notes (with my contact info) and that someone could have at least called me for further instructions if they were unsure. I also told him that if he didn't know what to do, he should have rescheduled rather than not complete the job. He did not respond. I told Terry we would love to have them back to go over everything with them, but of course we weren't going to pay full price for the unfinished job. (Texts attached) Again, not even the minimum of cleaning the toilets and sweeping the floors were done. Terry didn't respond to that message, either. Given that Terry (1) didn't take any responsibility for the unfinished cleaning - which, he admitted they didn't do because they "didn't know what to do" and (2) didn't provide ANY level of professional that I would expect from someone that I let into my home, I told Terry to remove us from his cleaning schedule. He responded "will do" and immediately invoiced us for full price cleaning services. In response, I told Terry that we would pay for the laundry and for cleaning the master bedroom (apparently they made the bed) but that I wasn't paying for full cleaning services because I didn't receive full cleaning services. Terry responded - "No way, I'll send it to my lawyer. They will put a lien on your home." (Text messages attached). I'm sure Terry didn't realize, but I am a lawyer and this threat got him (and will get him) no where. In summary: (1) Terry's cleaners didn't clean our house because they "didn't know what to do" (even though I left notes and they could have called for further instruction, but did not); (2) Poor customer service; (3) invoiced at full price for partial services (4) threatened to sue us. **Note: We chose this Company based on the high number of great reviews we saw on other sites (including Angie's list). We were disappointed and surprised that we did not have the same great experience.

They were professional and courteous will definitely call again in the future and recommend that if you need your carpet cleaned this is the place to call.
