The CPA we used for over three years was constantly delayed responding to emails, never available for phone calls and the office manager's consistent response was that our returns were "on his desk pending review". This was a yearly experience for the first three years using the firm. Our displeasure culminated in a year long effort to obtain an assessment from a state audit of a return that Byers and Byers prepared. After months of attempting to get a response, answer, or any type of correspondence from the CPA, I got a curt response and an advisement that I, after over 9 month of waiting, attempting to contact, ask the status of, and meet with a Byers and Byers representative, was somehow rude and should take my business elsewhere. Quite the customer service. An attempt to contact the managing partner of this firm went absolutely unanswered. After sharing this experience with my peers, most disclosed that they have had similar experiences and ALL FIVE OF OUR FAMILIES are taking our business elsewhere, as the CPA suggested. Save yourself the trouble and bypass this firm.

They had my taxes since April 1st, called many times, stopped in many times, we are working on…read morethem. Was getting mad, they had them all of april thru jan 5th. They called, said, we cant get them done, but had them since april 1st. Left me in a terrible bind. I had to rush around to find another. H&R Block did them in 45 mins for 129, not the 300 allen was charging. Because of them, i did NOT get my stimulus as IRS didnt get my taxes mailed jan 5th until jan 15th due to slow mail. 2019 taxes were delayed due to 2 hurricanes. I would never ever use these people again and H&R Block will get my business. I cant go to a place who lied about working on them when they were not and let them sit for 10 months!!
