I'm heartbroken and deeply disappointed by how my daughter and I were treated at this gymnastics…read morestudio after over a year of commitment. From the start, I was transparent with the staff: my daughter has ADHD. She's bright, kind, and energetic--yes, she can be easily distracted, but she's also incredibly sweet and eager to participate. I asked if the studio was comfortable working with a high-energy child before enrolling, because I only wanted to place her in an environment that was supportive and understanding. They assured me it would be fine. Months into the program, I was pulled aside by the owner--publicly, in front of other parents--and told my daughter was disruptive and walking away from class. I explained her needs again and asked for understanding. After observing a session, the owner reassured me she was doing well and could remain in the program. Then, out of the blue, I was contacted by the new management with a list of demands: I had to sit in the tiny waiting area (even though I parked directly in front of the building and could see my daughter through the windows), and I had to arrive 10 minutes early, which is difficult for a child who struggles to wait. I explained that I often have my other children with me and that remaining in the car was more practical. They suggested I wait in a back patio area, where I couldn't even observe the class. The next day, I received another call--this time informing me that my daughter was being dismissed from the program entirely, and that they would be refunding my money. I was shocked and tried to express how poorly this was being handled, only to have the woman on the phone hang up on me. We've invested time, energy, and money into this program, and it's deeply upsetting to be treated this way--especially after being transparent from the beginning. Families deserve empathy and open communication, not sudden dismissal and disrespect.

Overall all the kids had so much fun and parents could sit around and relax! Definitely recommend this place for parties!

We were never anything but friendly with her but she had an attitude every. single. day. We signed up for a trial class and came back two weeks later to sign up for classes and she snapped at me for not coming back sooner. She wasn't joking...she actually chastised me. If she was on the phone when we arrived we didn't even get a glance up. We never once received a greeting when we arrived or when we left. I couldn't call her out if I wanted to because she never told me her name. On the first day of my daughter's class she sat outside the gymnasium waiting to go in and the lady snapped at her and said " well go in!!" We'd never been to a class and didn't know where to go or what to do but apparently we were meant to. If it's her business she can act however she wants. But there are plenty of gymnastic studios in the area and I highly recommend touring them all before you make a decision. On a side note: my daughter's teacher was great! I would give them zero stars if it weren't for her. In my experience, though, it's difficult to hold on to great employees when you have a crappy attitude.

~ FLOATING SHAVASANA WAS ABSOLUTELY MAGICAL ~…read more I've always wanted to try aerial yoga, and I'm so glad that my first experience was at the Aerial Studio. I booked the Intro to AIReal Yoga class through ClassPass, with Kristen O' Briant as the instructor. You can either bring your own mat or use one provided by the studio. They offer both aerial and AIReal Yoga classes that use hammocks in the practice. Our class took place in the back of the room, where a beautiful array of hammocks was set up. Kristen was an amazing instructor--she took special care of beginners, ensured we were making safe moves, and offered modifications when needed, all while providing encouragement and still challenging us. As an avid yogi, these hammocks really helped deepen my asanas, and I enjoyed this fresh approach. The highlight for me was the floating shavasana. Normally, I struggle to fully relax during the final shavasana in traditional yoga classes, but this experience was magical. Swaying gently and being cocooned in the hammocks - like a butterfly before it transforms or a baby in a womb - made it the most relaxed I've ever been during shavasana. A couple notes for the studio: during the first half of the class, there was also a children's class happening at the same time. It wasn't too disruptive but did occasionally make it hard to focus and be present. Also, dimming the lights during the final shavasana would enhance the atmosphere as well as show off the beautiful twinkle lights strung above the rafters. I highly recommend this experience and am looking forward to my next class! *HOT TIP: This was my first visit to Pacific View Mall, and I had trouble finding the studio. The studio is located inside the mall and between Old Navy and American Eagle.

While I was grateful for the opportunity to rent this facility I have to admit I didn't think…read morethings through(my fault). If you are thinking about renting this facility for a extended party, my rental was 4-11pm, there's a few things you should know... 1. It's an amazing room. Truly. 70 people fit nicely with enough room for a DJ. The park is available for your super young guests and that provides bonus points Definitely... BUT..... 2. You won't need to work out at the gym the day of your party because you'll be required to move gymnastic equipment before and after your party. The bright side? You'll work some muscles!! :) The downside? You'll pay an extra 40 mins to move the stuff which means 1 hour added to your rental price. Sadly while your moving the equipment, you'll realize you paid THEM to move THEIR equipment. Gee whiz. On Top of that you will be sweeping and cleaning the faculty as well, because it might be dirty. With that said, there's a chance you'll be sweaty at the start of your party... Decorating still needs to be done after all! Also when you're super sore the next day...you'll know why. ;) 2. While your moving all the equipment and cleaning, before and after your party, you'll realize what an AMAZING boss you are!! Why you ask? Because you paid a Barranca Vista worker(mandatory) $ 15.00 an hour to NOT help you sweep the room, to NOT help dump trashes at the end of your party. Are they there to help you move the equipment? NAH...they're there just to make sure you move it properly and put it back exactly as you found it, THAT'S it. If you need anything you'll find them sitting in the office surfing the net. Not a bad gig right? You'll also realize you're the best boss ever because you'll also provide dinner for your new employee!! While I would have offered, I didn't need to because she joined the family line for tacos. Again..amazing Boss! :) All of this amazing fun for $700 dollars PLUS a 250.00 dollar deposit. Not bad right? Disclaimer: I'm a non-resident, so residents pay less. Congrats to you. As I said in the beginning, I didn't think things through when I was told about the equipment. I own that. I just feel compelled to help prospective party renters go in with eyes wide open, give personal experience to help them make a well informed decision on whether it's worth the money. Of course everyone's experience is different. Our party was a blast and we'll be back for sure, but it will be a free park party for us. :)

Ventura is changing though, prices at "Antique" stores are outrageous now. Better to go to the Thrift stores, you can find a few of the same items for lots less. It seems like they are pushing out alot of the more eclectic places and putting in chains like Jersey Mikes and foo-foo chi-chi clothing boutiques. Let's hope the book stores never go.
