I was standing in the online pick-up line, waiting my turn, when some random woman strolls up and gets helped before me. When I politely pointed out this obvious screw-up, Jenypher decided to gaslight me with the weakest excuse ever, claiming the other woman was there first. Spoiler alert: she wasn't. No apology, no effort to fix her mistake--just arrogance and incompetence rolled into one. If this store insists on hiring employees like Gaslight-Jenypher, they might as well rebrand as 'Carters: Where Customer Service Comes to Die.' Avoid this place unless you enjoy being insulted by clowns who think lying is a personality trait.

We got a couple good finds. Especially their legos at a great price. My family do not go all the time but have found the store closed during normal business hours. So call ahead of time. They carry very well made toys and clothing for babies/small toddlers that is made from very nice, soft materials. Beautiful assortment of toddler clothing. Cute girls clothing. The infant clothing is mainly assorted blankets and layette type clothing. Largest selection of hair bows I have ever seen. I would have given this place 5 stars but I thought that a boys onesie layette type outfit for $89 is excessive. Even I that has a discriminating taste on children's clothing will not purchase a pj set for an infant for such a inflated price! You can shop at Ragamuffin (high end children's store in Modesto) and get a beautiful outfit with socks and bow for that price and still have spare change in your pocket. At first I thought it was just mis-marked--but I ran into about three other identical outfits in different sizes for that same price. Minus 1 star for not staying somewhat practical. I purchased a gift the other day from here and the sales rep wrapped the outfit beautifully in tissue paper and a cute white bag with beautifully colored tissue paper. Really cute! There were two walkers sitting on the front counter with price tags on them, so naturally I asked to purchase one. I was told they weren't for sale because they belonged to the owners and were for their kids. If they're not for sale, why are they displayed at the front of the store with price tags where customers would assume they're available? On top of that, the store was very cluttered and disorganized. It also seems like much of the clothing is now just SHEIN merchandise, which was disappointing. Unfortunately, it's no longer worth the drive for me.
