Keep driving, driving, then a bit more down the A30 across Dartmoor past Penzance towards where the land stops and the road runs out. Just before Lands End, turn down the steep winding road to Sennen Cove and the sweeping curve of the beach opens out before you at the bottom.
Just as ideal for families as for hardened surfers, with a wide range of waves for paddling in or adrenaline junkie riding.
Plenty of facilities, car parks, toilets, food, drink, surf shop, board hire and a couple of surfing schools, (which will help you master the impossible task of standing on water).
The bay has a rugged natural and wild beauty, facing west, nothing between you and well, nothing. Sand, waves, rock pools, surf, easy access, fantastic. Definitely worth that drive. read more
