For anything more - mmm The caravan was clean and contained everything we needed except the things we didn't bring! Like loo paper/tea towel etc. You can tell it's not something we do often! The shower wasn't the worst I have experienced which was a pleasant surprise. The bed was AWFUL! Small; 6 inches either side to get into it; covered in plastic so it was freezing. We had paid extra for bedding. Take my advise and take your own! Fortunately we were in a 3 bedroomed van so we took extra out of the other rooms. The quilts were thin in the extreme! The oven took over an hour to cook some chips! There were lots of 'facilities' and a shop and a few 'eating places'; I can't in all honesty call them anything else! Having said all that, it was quiet (though what it would be like in the height of summer) at night, we were far enough away from the 'facilities'! And it was a very short walk to the most glorious beach! Empty, sandy, blue-sea-y, lovely! It was also a fine place to stop while doing the Coastal Walk. (No, we didn't do the whole thing!)

As a complete beginner the determination to get back on the board was egged on by the three teachers as well as the distinct presence of the photographer on the beach. You can also get hostel and hotel accomodation and coasteering packages - just try it, you'll love it!

I have used them twice, once when eleven of…read moreus turned up wanting a sufr lesson that day when they fell over themselves to accomodate us, and once on a weekend break. The staff are great, very helpful in a chilled out sort of way. When we went along for the weekend they sent us a text message each day or the evening before letting us know what time the lesson would start the next day (as it varied depending what the waves were like). They have a great method of teaching which allows almost everyone to stand up on the board on their first lesson. They are also great at teaching more experienced surfers and I learnt loads from them. Finally, the best thing when you come out of the water is the nice warm hot tub waiting for you afterwards (I won't mention the cold shower between the water and the hot tub!!
