Today, I witnessed them recruit a young man to the cult, in Cafe Nero, Arlington Center, MA. Apparently they have a clubhouse / meeting spot nearby. Their philosophy is a mishmash of New Age spirituality / Theosophy along with a mix of classical Greek / Roman philosophy. They believe in reincarnation, that you choose your parents, etc. They actively recruit recent, male college graduates who are somewhat lost, who are interested in personal growth, interested in studying classical art, philosophy and religion. They consider the modern world to be decadent, corrupt, etc.
This group has a presence on Meetup. It recruits by offering 'free' courses in philosophy. I've run into this group at local street fairs, selling used classical philosophy books.
The young man in question agreed to join one of their study groups for a month. The two recruiters (one a nattily dressed, almost professorial looking man, balding, full beard and mustache) one a younger man, spent well over an hour giving this somewhat lost young man their sales pitch.
This group targets recent college graduates who are looking for meaning in life, who feel somewhat lost and adrift.
