In 8 business days (right before the Christmas holidays) they tore everything out and...*deep breath* replaced a crank window with a double-hung one, updated the electrical, moved the lighting, installed a ceiling vent (there was none before), swapped out the tub for a walk-in shower, replaced the hideous wall tile with panels, swapped out the linoleum floor for marble tile, replaced the toilet, vanity, mirror and storage cabinet, fixed my lop-sided pocket door, installed a gorgeous trim around the door and window, replaced the baseboard, patched up 2 huge and unsightly access panels, painted the bathroom, installed all the bathroom accessories, and tested - then retested - everything! As a couple who is particularly picky about, well, everything, working with Eric is a real pleasure. Our…read more100 year old home--a registered heritage building with the City of Ottawa--needed a new roof, attic structural supports, a steel support beam on the ground floor, and support posts installed in the basement. Rob was attentive to detail, asking questions that led our structural engineer to revise his plan to ensure adequate support over the master bedroom. Rob worked out an ideal approach to the project, working in tandem with a roofer to complete the roof upgrades quickly and with minimal risk to the internal structure of our house. He was courteous and kept us informed of unexpected issues that arose during the project. He also identified other, unrelated deficiencies and took steps to correct them, such as preventing insulation from crowding pot lights in our ceiling. Rob's team managed to save an architectural cornice on the side of the building, and beautifully-preserved the front cornice on our heritage building. It was clear that Rob takes pride in his work and won't settle for less than an excellent job. He kept a clean construction site, particularly when working inside our house. We would highly recommend them to others and are very grateful we picked them for this complex, challenging job.

Indeed, Mazen gave me a very fair quote and took the time to carefully explain exactly what they would do for the job. The competitor companies were lacking in this regard and quiet honestly, I thought they would not give the job the proper detail required. Profitek has even exceeded my expectations, with a simply outstanding finished product! The house has been completely transformed with the stucco addition. The color, finish and quality of the stucco job is outstanding! This has greatly increased our curb appeal and enhanced the overall house value dramatically. The detailed multi-layered approach of the Profitek team is the best I have ever seen. Last summer, my wife and I hired Mazen and his team to apply EIFS cladding to our house. EIFS…read moreinstallation involves several stages and the work took nearly three weeks. Mazen, for whom pretty much nothing is undoable or unsolvable, led a cheerful, energetic crew (they actually sing while they work!) who put in long hours during very hot days. The end result far exceeded our expectations. We were particularly impressed by some unplanned nice touches: covering an unsightly split concrete windowsill and a cracked concrete piece at the base of the door to the deck, for instance, and forming a couple of circumscribing groves in the chimney cladding for improved aesthetics. When I asked Mazen, a year later, if he could patch up a recessed wall area where a utility box used to be, he came that same day, and then returned a few days later for the finishing coat, graciously declining payment. All told, when it comes to EIFS/stucco projects, I recommend Mazen and his team without reservation.
