They made the women I support feel like the VIPs they are. One had level 4 (minced and moist) and the other level 5 (pureed). The food was presented beautifully and it was the first time one of the women, aged 50, had ever eaten at a restaurant. Thank you to the staff who are so wonderful. Best experience ever.

But because I have a soft spot for nachos, I of course had to try it. The verdict? Not bad at all, quite good in fact. I ordered something call 'Rodeo Rainbow Dip' simply because it sounded fun. Really tasty combination of a number of dips including guacamole, chili con carne, cheese and few other things, served with corn chips. I also had a Quesadilla, which is basically a pancake stuffed with fillings. Not too bad, it was little too much pancake and not enough fillings. It was really tasty though. So in summary, excellent entrée, average main but fantastic service and I would go back.

It's been a while since Montezuma's opened in Ipswich at the Riverlink Shopping Centre, but I'd…read morenever been excited by the idea of checking it out. It never seemed to be particularly busy when I'd walk by and I heard somewhere that it wasn't particularly great. It was by accident that my husband and I ended up there the other night. We originally set out to go to the brand new Yum Cha restaurant that just opened nearby, but I was so disappointed with the place before even getting to place an order, I wanted to leave. We wandered around and ended up walking into Montezuma's (around 8:15 or so at night). There were only 2 other tables with people at them and they looked to be wrapping things up. I was worried they may have closed their kitchen but the lady at the front counter cheerily told us their kitchen was still well and truly open, so we were seated. They have a large menu and a decent selection of drinks at the bar (order drinks at the bar and either pay there or add to table number). I ordered the Tamale pie and my husband ordered an enchilada. We both tried Mexican beers we'd never had before and enjoyed them, and the food was hot, tasty and filling. Service was friendly and quick (though they were quiet!). I was truly surprised when another couple walked in at 8:45pm (they close at 9pm) and were seated and placed an order. I thought for sure they'd have been told it was too late and they were about to close. If I'm in the mood for Mexican and craving more than a quick grab and go burrito (which I'd normally go to Zambrero for), I will definitely hit up Montezuma's again and maybe try one of their combination menu items.
Well we thought we would give Montezumas a go seeing as though it was new for Ipswich…read more After walking up to the counter and not being acknowledged by the two staff behind the counter for about a minute even after eye contact, we were seated. The seats were every upright and uncomfortable. Our knees were hitting the legs of the table. One group of our party went and got drinks. I ordered a Coke and when I got the glass I could not help but laugh. The glass was smaller then I would have given a small child. It only took three modest mouth fulls to finish but yet cost a not so modest $3.50. We looked over the menu. I liked the idea of Nachos but after reading the description it said nothing about guacamole or sour cream. We went to the bar and asked to be told they had to be ordered as a side ($4.95 for guacamole and $2.95 for sour cream). We then contemplated leaving as thing where getting worse and not very appealing. But decided to soldier on and give it a go. We ordered two Combination Dips starters and I decided to give the large nachos a go with my side order of guacamole and sour cream because for the price it must be amazing. The dips were nice enough BUT they came out with only 10 corn chips on one plate and 13 on the other so the corn chips were gone before the dips. The empty plates sat on the edge of the table for 15 minutes as staff walked pass the table constantly. We ended up moving them to an empty table next to us and surprisingly they where cleared right away. We waited another 20 minutes for the mains to arrive. My nachos arrived and as a 'garnish' around the outer rim of the plate were...... You guessed it about 10 corn chips that was all. My partner ordered the 1/2 serve nachos and got about 8 corn chips. A friend ordered the Colorado and said 'Well the plate may be hot but that's about it!' as his enchiladas were lukewarm. He was right all the plates were ridiculously hot. But enough about the bad. On to the good. The restaurant temperature was comfortable. I am glad we tried Montezumas because now we know never to go back. To sum it up an expensive learning experience.
