The check up was fast and very conversational, she didn't push any tests or vaccines on me instead she informed about the benefits and facts and asked me if I wanted to do it. She recommended some blood tests and a shot and the best part was I could do the blood work there instead of sending me to quest or lab Corp where it takes for ever. It had been a while since I get blood work so I was a bit nervous and after the nurse pulled the blood I started to feel light headed and weak. Long story short I started to faint and this is when I realized this was a great office all around. Within seconds there were 3 ladies helping me get my blood pressure back up and one of those ladies being Dr.Feito the head doctor who was on her way out when she heard this was happening but it was no trouble to help a patient in need. Thank you to Dr.Feito and Menéndez and staff for a great first experience! And no I have no bruising on my arm from the blood work, this is a great doctors office.

Systemic Communication Failure and Unprofessional On-Site Staff…read more Although the in-office appointment with the physician was satisfactory, the follow-up and communication system for this Baptist Health-affiliated practice is significantly flawed. It may be considered dangerous. The only way to contact the office for any questions (such as prescriptions, lab orders, etc.) is through the general Baptist phone service. While this system works well for scheduling appointments, it falls short in addressing other patient needs. The doctor's office staff never delivers or returns messages taken by the call center. This occurred regarding an update needed for a lab order. After leaving multiple messages with no response, visiting the physical office location was necessary. The receptionist was rude, unprofessional, and dismissive. She refused to contact a nurse or help resolve the issue in person. Because there is no direct line of communication to a person at the local office, and due to the staff's rudeness and unresponsiveness, this practice poses a serious risk to patient care. If follow-up is needed, you will likely be ignored. Potential patients should seek care elsewhere until Baptist Health improves this system.

My mother is handicapped and desperately needed Dr. Feito's signature for the DMV to issue a disabled placard. She can't get a doctor in another state unless she's moving here and that's a whole other process. She needed Dr Feito who is her primary care physician to sign a permit for a temporary placard, which is completely legal and within her means, but she wouldn't do it. My mother can't walk long distances and her car is parked in a garage that is too far away from her apartment, she needs a disability space in front of her building. It took them a week to get to it and then, they still wouldn't sign. The Doctor is only a good doctor who cares about her patients if they stay put. Her empathy doesn't extend out of state.

After waiting another hour, I was finally told that the doctor would not be coming in today. My time was completely wasted. If a doctor is unavailable, patients should be notified as soon as possible. Being checked in, taken to an exam room, and left waiting for an hour before learning that I would not be seen reflects terrible communication and poor coordination. Patients make arrangements and set aside time for these appointments. Our time deserves respect. I understand that unexpected situations happen, but that does not excuse leaving a patient waiting without an update. As a new patient, I expected professionalism, clear communication, and basic consideration. Instead, this visit left me frustrated and with very little confidence in how this office is managed. FMG Medical Group needs to improve its cancellation procedures and communication with patients.

Before my appointment, I emailed the office my lab work and ultrasound results. When I arrived, I was greeted by the staff and seen right at my scheduled time. The intake staff member was professional, courteous, and confirmed that all of my medical records had been received and added to my chart. Dr. Mendez was extremely thorough during my visit and took the time to answer all of my questions.
