We reminded him that we signed the contract for the original price and we were contractually signed to have it done for that price but he wouldn't start until we signed the contract for the new price. We asked him for our deposit back since he wouldn't start the work unless we paid him the $700 difference. He said he would give the deposit back to us within 30 days in person and via text. Now he refuses to give the deposit back and says we fired him and "backed out". He then chose to call me some vulgar words because he is being called out for being a scammer.
