They saw us outside and opened kindly enough to wait inside until the kitchen opens at 7pm. My friends and I had plenty of time to study the menu and the selection was great. Waiting wasn't even that bad because we were busy looking at all the decorations and details they had put up. The meals did not disappoint. The creamy mushroom soup just glided in and the awesome apple crumble in the end topped everything off. I would really like to visit Besançon again just for the restaurant!

The atmosphere was electric and this is how live music should be. The Green Man is one of the best bars I have ever visited anywhere in Europe. Great staff, friendly customers and a welcome haven from all those awful themed bars and pubs that roll out those horrible plastic environments. If you are in Besancon check it out.

Great music, a real fireplace, that works, live music and concerts almost every week. A real jazz and blues place with some popular music groups too. This place is a real 'must'. This is how bars should be. Great people, customers and staff. The deco is great, wood floors, stone walls and wooden beams.
