I would not recommend this company based on my experience. We hired them to take down a single tree…read moreand specifically asked that the stump be cut as close to the ground as possible. It was left much too high, and when I asked for it to be shaved down further, I was told they couldn't. On top of that, they caused additional damage -- tearing up parts of our lawn while dragging the tree, leaving giant marks across the sidewalk, and even leaving a branch hanging in another tree. The cleanup was careless at best. They left our trash can on the neighbor's lawn, blew wood shavings all over our newly seeded grass (potentially ruining a lot of the seed we just put down), and blew debris across the street into another neighbor's lawn. Ironically, despite all that blowing, they left a huge pile of shavings right by the stump itself. I ended up spending 1 hour and 10 minutes cutting the stump lower myself with a pole saw, another 20 minutes reseeding the damaged lawn, and time cleaning up properly so the street could be swept. I reached out to the salesperson afterward, and he said he could send someone back out to check/clean up. But by that point, I had no trust that they wouldn't make things even worse. Overall, the lack of care, professionalism, and responsibility left me very disappointed. I would advise others to look elsewhere for tree work. Adding: was told by the owner that they don't typically take projects under $1000, as if they did me a favor. So don't bother quoting with them on single, medium trees or trimming.

I had Monster do some tree work for me 3 months after I walked my property with (Zach one of the…read moresupposed managers). They did the work after I had to call numerous times to get on the books. The techs that were there to trim several trees didn't know which trees to trim and were complaining about their manager in front of me. They did an over decent job but left my property before I had a chance to make sure that they didn't forget anything or everything was done to my satisfaction. I informed the area manager (Zach) about this March 2025. I went ahead and paid my $1200 invoice (which I will never do again until work is done that is supposed to be ). I told Zach about this error and a few trees that weren't touched on the side of my house and in the back this was again March 2025. Here it is MONTHS later! I have reached out to Zach at least 4 times since then the last time we texted he didn't bother to respond LESSON LEARNED! I WILL NEVER USE THE TREE SERVICE AGAIN! and NEVER PAY FOR AN INVOICE UNTIL THE WORK IS DONE TO MY SATISFACTION! I PAID AROUND $1300 INCLUDING THE DEPOSIT THEY TOOK END OF 2024. Customer service is just NOT there with this company and quality of work is shoddy at best!

They were punctual, efficient, professional and reasonably priced. They brought all of the heavy trucks and equipment and were done in less than 2 hours! I was thinking it would take a day or so. Their team did an excellent job of cleaning up and clearing out the debris. Very friendly and detailed. I fully intend to hire them again to redesign my courtyard and install lighting, landscaping, etc. Totally impressed with their hard work. I so appreciate what they did for me.

On April 12th a storm passed through Cornelius taking down numerous trees. This included a…read moreportion of a tree located in our neighbor's yard that broke off and fell partially into our yard. As I told Alexa, an employee at Big Green Tree Service, our issue has nothing to do with that tree or the portion of the tree that fell into our yard. The following day, Big Green Tree Service came out and removed the portion of the tree located on our neighbor's property. They also trimmed additional branches located on the undamaged portion of the tree. Besides using our property for access and collection, they dragged tree branches onto our property and deposited them there. After completion of the job, I called Big Green and spoke with Alexa and asked her to remove only the debris and branches that their crew had left behind that had been created by their trimming the surviving portion of the tree located on our neighbor's property. She responded with a flat refusal to clean up after themselves. We made it clear to them that we were only interested in their cleaning up the additional debris and branches deposited on our property by their trimming and other activities.
