One of my favorite locations in Ankara. They have opened multiple franchises in recent years but my…read moretop three Uludağ's are this one, the one in Ulus, and the one in Çayyolu. The mall locations are limited in their atmosphere, service quality. These take away from the Uludağ experience. We usually begin by ordering baba ganush (patlıcan salatası), ezme (think salsa with mild heat), tulum peyniri (Turkish feta on steriods), bulgur covered köfte with walnuts (içli köfte) and a seasonal salad (mevsim salata). I have dreamt about how good their patlıcan salata is while looking for middle eastern food in the US. Then we go for the 1 portion Uludağ Kebap. They have extremely high quality beef which also keeps us coming back. They have the option to order this without extra pide (but this is not the best time to diet). They have servers hanging out with melted butter and tomato sauce that come around and ask if you would like some (you say yes to this too). When all this done, we go for a künefe (think shredded pastry with melted mozarella on the inside, cooked with butter and syrup) topped with ice cream. The 45 minutes it takes to heat one of these is one of the happiest waits you'll ever have. The massive trees in the garden and the pool side tables at this location only makes the plethora of taste better. They have parking too.

Starting off though was grilled oyster mushrooms, I could eat just these. A more than generous amount grill smoke and salt flavor. The ribs were excellent, tender lollipops with a light middle eastern spice. The bone ends were not frenched so it left crispy bits of grilled meat on them. Again the kebab were lightly seasoned but are a high quality so the meat flavor really showed shined. For dessert we had Kanafa, think baklava with ice cream in side. I am not big on sweets so this was perfect. Crispy phyllo dough, pistachio sweetened with a light sugar syrup and it goes perfectly with the Turkish tea that ends every meal. 2nd visit... the mushrooms; and lamb filet, finished with baklava and tea. All the flavor and quality I had come to expect from the first time.

The restaurant is cute it has a big picture of a big cat outside and cartoon pictures inside. It has an outdoor and indoor sitting area. It is not a tourist spot. It is the locals' favorite spot. I can see why. It looked popular amongst the younger crowd. They have been coming here for a while. I could tell by how the staff kept knows them. The menu is simple. They don't speak much English but it was easy to communicate, just point at the pictures. They make just burgers, single, double, or triple meat. The flavor was close to an American burger. The burgers came with fries and onion rings. They had both condiments we use in the USA and their special condiments to choose when they bring it to you. I found the burger to be delicious. And side too. I was happy with the meal. The staff was great. They worked with me. The service was fast. I loved the place and the cat

Duveroglu is a must visit location when you are in Ankara. Original location is in Genclik caddesi,…read morebut it usually gets crowded there so we visited the Bilkent branch. This branch has modern decoration and ample seating options. Servers greet you as soon as you walk in, and serve you with various mezes including Ezme and tursu. They bring hot icli köfte to the table and it is excellent -- thin outer later and delicious filling. We had Antep lahmacun which was also excellent but we have to come back to try their doner, kebabs and desserts.

I wouldnt reccommend visiting during Ramazan because it doesnt do the place justice. Normally, they have a series of appetizers per person. These included stuffed dried eggplant, boiled bulgur covered meatball, tiny lahmacun. You can also ask for small salads like baba ganush and ezme too. The second course is a choice of meat. When we go as a family we get the mixed grill for however many people we have. The third course is a Gaziantep dish called Katmer. It is fried pistachio in large baklava pastry served with ice cream. Melts in your mouth. The people that come here tend to be extremely wealthy and that can be annoying sometimes too.
