We had a small (75 ft) backyard chain link fence job and contacted 3 fence companies. We went with Gun Hill because they were the most responsive, gave a written quote after an in-person site visit, and their price matched the other viable candidate. (Third candidate was way underpriced - always a red flag.) We're very happy we did. Gun Hill arrived on time, did the job in a professional, solid manner, cleaned the site (part of our quote but 'clean' doesn't mean the same thing to everyone...) and were on their way. The installation crew was professional and considerate. They had to walk through our home to access the backyard; we put down paper to protect the floor and moved some furniture and they hauled in all their tools and machinery and hauled out old chain link fencing and scrap, and not a ding in sight. Based on this we highly recommend and would use them again. read more

Worst experience ever. If I could give 0 stars I would. I called to request a fence, the man who answered had the most rude tone, but I looked past that and tried to explain what I wanted done clearly. I asked for clarification on their process and he kept getting annoyed until he just hung up on me. read more

Gun Hill Fence is very fair. They work well with their costumers to make sure they are providing the best product and service possible. I highly recommend. read more

I called up Gun Hill Fence 3 weeks ago to set up an appointment for an estimate for a fence in my backyard. The owner told me someone by the name of Ralph will be calling me for appointment. I'm still waiting for the call. Don't know how this company stays in business. Evelyn Figueroa read more

We had to call SIX different fence companies and only two got back to us to even provide a quote. We went with Gunhill because of the team we met. Ralph and Maury are THE BEST. They took attention to detail and figured out a very complicated solution on a rocky, uneven fence line that was shared property of neighbor. Not an easy task and they really did a great job. So much so I tipped them - they deserved it. read more

Gun hill fence gave me the best price to put up a fence for my parking lot. Not only did they give me the best price they were the most responsive when it came to answering all of my questions especially on the type of material they'd be using. Their turn around time was extremely fast from the initial call to the signing of the proposal to the completion of the job. We were able to get the project done within a few days. The work itself was flawless. The guys and staff at gun hill were great to work with they also gave a follow up call to make sure everything was satisfactory. Will definitely use again if needed. read more

Just had new PVC wood grain fencing and storm damage repairs completed by GHF. Estimator Ralph was a pleasure to deal with working thru multiple renditions of the estimate. Installation team was quality. Would definitely recommend. read more

I spoke with Ralph during the week and we scheduled an appointment for today, Saturday, September 20 at 7:00am. He said this was the only time slot he had. I was up at 6:00am and ready for Ralph just before 7:00am but Ralph never showed. I called his cell number at around 7:40am and got his voicemail. I left a message but have yet to hear back. Needless to state, I am disappointment as I really wanted my backyard fence patched. I was thinking that replacing two sides of the backyard fence would make the most sense. Oh well, I guess my search for a reliable, quality, professional fence company continues. read more

Recieved no help from other companies call Gun Hill Fence they were more than helpful and eventhough it was a small part they took the time order it for me. I just had a backyard fence installed by GunHill Fence company. I arranged it all with Anthony. He did a phenomenal job of explaining my options and arranging the installation. He kept in contact with me at all times. His installation staff was beyond professional!!! They took pride in their work, paying attention to details. I'm raving about this company to friends and neighbors. Have two prospective clients who have admired their work. My neighbors had their fence done last year and it was that job that convinced me to go with this company. Sonia Fuentes read more

I bought a house with a jungle growing along my driveway which comprised metal and wood fencing from 1950 with vines and poison ivy growing wildly situated on a narrow 18 inch base. I couldn't plant trees and wanted privacy from an adjoining neighbor. When I decided on a fence I needed a pro due to the limited space and extent of work involved. I received a couple of quotes from knuckleheads in the business who showed up late for appointments, took days upon days to get me a quote and offered run of the mill fencing. Then I found Gun Hill Fence. From the first phone call I knew I struck gold. The back office and staff are the most professional, personable, caring, diligent and knowledgeable team you want to deal with. Then I met Ralph, who inspected the location, returned a quote within a day, and everything he informed me of regarding turn around time, pricing and installation was 100% accurate. Not to mention reasonably priced. Then I met the installers who transformed my property during ice cold conditions with exceptional expertise, keeping me in the loop of every move they made and asked for my input throughout the install. This is by far the best fencing etc company in NYS. Stop looking, call them and hire them. I also gave them my rear yard fence. Lastly, they carried an exceptional product called illusions and are one of few companies authorized to carry this product. See the pics which speak for themselves. By the way, they all speak English! read more

I called to have a fence installed. Took them about a week to call me back and make an appointment. When the salesman finally showed he took measurements and told me the company would get back to me with a price which they never did. Horrible business practices. Better fence companies in the local area to choose from. read more

A person from Gun Hill Fence gave me a written estimate for supplying and installing a chain link fence and for repairing an existing fence door and pole that is currently on my property. When I contacted them to tell them that I accept their price for the repair of my existing fence door and pole but I do not want to install new fence right now, the price of my repair was changed from $110 to $375, a very big difference. Obviously, I did not hire them to do the job. I would not recommend this company! read more

I had a most unpleasant experience with Gun Hill Fence. I was requesting a quote on the installation of a fence on a rental property in the Bronx. They came out took the measurements and I did not hear back from them. I placed a follow up call and was told they are very busy and would provide the quote. About two weeks later I placed another follow up call and was told it would be a few more days. I then received a call giving me a $4300 quote. I requested the quote in writing. Days later I received a written $4800 quote explaining they left the existing gate removal out. I then asked what was the next step with moving forward and was told it would be another week or two to get started. I became frustrated with the entire process and called the main office requesting to speak to the manager/ owner. The Office Manager Joseph asked if he could help then requested that I send him an email explaining my concern. When I asked why do I need to send an email he stated we do not want your business and hung up. I called back and asked to speak to the owner and he hung up again. Very unpleasant experience with Gun Hill Fence. read more
