When we returned in the evening, it was bustling with people shopping and eating and sitting outside on the patios enjoying drinks and desserts. Several stores selling jewelry, women's clothing, fragrance, electronics and clothes and other gifts were open as well as a ton of restaurants and cafes of all kinds. It's an easy metro ride so I highly recommend it. We already had dinner plans so we only spent about an hour walking around and browsing but we might come back for dinner and explore more next time we are in town.

Their merchandise is extremely diverse, comprising just about anything you want across three buildings. The main building, where you'll find women's fashions, accessories, cosmetics, eyeglasses (including an optometrist), sportswear, children's wear, is topped with a must-see art glass dome, complete with a glass cat walk (maybe on the 4th floor?) that enables up close viewing of the dome from the inside. There are restaurants, rest rooms, and sweets shops in this building, too. Menswear has a building all to itself, as does the food court. Be careful here. There are so many delicious and appetizing foods offered in the food court building that you'll be tempted to overstuff. It would be just too easy to spend an entire day shopping at Galleries Lafayette.

V lit fam. I happened to walk by hear on my way to lunch during my Paris visit. The day before I…read morewent to the kilo shop and associated vintage shops in that area by Hotel de Ville and they were all swarming with tweeny European girls foaming at the mouth for moderately priced Parisian threads. It was a very overwhelming shopping experience for me and left disheartened on my finding any gems during my stay. So! I walk by this place and decide to stop in. Great clothes, especially military wear, seems to be a lot of European threads, and jeans for 25 euro. Most importantly the atmosphere was very relaxed and lowkey. One guy quietly oversaw the place and one or two other couples came in. I ended up getting a nice over coat and a (French?) pilot suit that I wore out to a Concrete party and received many compliments on. I'm hesitant with writing this review, especially in English, I hope the next time I come it's not a barren store with bottom of the barrel pickings due to teens attacking the stock. Despite this, I was happy my shopping experience was saved and hope a few more travelers wander upon the place to give it business and find similar shopping pleasure.
