I offered it for sale recently and a number of issues were brought to my attention. Firstly, after a few years of doing nothing, the forward pick up is loose in its housing and the screw holes are too large for the screws used to fix it in place. I have never attempted to remove the screws, so they were either too short or the holes too large. Secondly, I have owned a few Epiphone guitars in my years and this one probably plays the most poorly of all of them. The frets are inconsistently high and nowhere near level and the action is pretty ordinary. Things that you hope would be addressed for the sum of money charged between a new stock Epi and a pro replica/relic/restoration. The last significant issue is the dynamic control options. Some of the phasing options do not work as stated. I made a mistake buying this guitar. My expectations were that it would at least play like some of the Epiphone LP's I have owned in the past, sadly, it doesn't live up to the hype. When I approached these guys last year to try to discuss the issues, they were reluctant and of course sighted that the guitar may have been abused. It has never been played live, early through an amp actually. My summary; A poorly made guitar with playability and hardware issues that should have been rectified or improved within the extensive restoration and modification that the Painted Player charges a premium for. A waste of money.
