I just wanted to say how excellent this stores service has been recently. I contacted the store by…read moretelephone and asked for some guidance as to postage costs and the gentleman was very friendly and helpful. The postage costs were very fair and reasonable. I subsequently bought the Burton Gig bag online as it was the best price I could find online or in any stores and although they had no more of the black in stock I was contacted and asked if I would mind the purple. Actually I preferred the purple but it was not in the sale when I originally looked. The gentleman was friendly, helpful and apologetic. The courier they use is also excellent and as explained by the member of staff that contacted me about the change in colour the bag was delivered the next day. On the couriers website I could even check (using the tracking number they helpfully emailed to me) the time it would be delivered, They provided a 1 hour window. It explained it was due to arrive between 12.33-13.33 and it arrived at 12.35!! I could not fault anything. I have already recommended them to my friends who are going on the same snowboarding trip in March so hopefully they will also have their custom now too. I will definitely be back.

I went in there a couple months back to get a cable for my laptop, not really having a clue, i took the laptop in and showed the guy at the cable desk an straightaway he knew what i needed. I also told him what connections i had on my lcd tv, and he suggested an adaptor. All in all, excellent non pushy environment to shop in and they have loads of stock! prob cheaper to buy stuff like dvdr and hdmi cables off internet stockists.

Maplins is a great store for picking up all those cables and electrical components that you might need. It can be a little expensive at times for the littliest attachments, but for those things you can't find anywhere other the on the internet its very convienient. Staff are usually pretty helpful when you're looking for items. They also stock lots of seasonal items and more gadgets these days, as well as more computer equipment.

I took it back 17 days after purchase, with the receipt, asking for an exchange. I even suggested a different clasp which I was prepared to pay for. The shop assistant was sceptical from the outset.
