I started lessons with Teig and I was completely shocked at how fast I made progress. I went to him too shy to sing in front of anyone and didn't really know how to play an instrument. I've been coming here for about a year, mainly because I wanted an extra activity to do between work and I have to say, I have learned a lot about my voice and how to use it properly. I used to strain my voice all the time just singing in the car but now I can sing for hours on those long road trips haha. I also train people at work in software and am required to talk quite a lot. Ashton has taught me how to effectively use my voice even if I am not singing. I used to run out of breath and my voice would be gone after a four to five hour training but now I'm breathing properly and projecting my voice with my diaphragm instead of my throat. The small details and the exercises that Ashton gives really make a large difference. I have since convinced my girlfriend to take lessons. She was hesitant at first and not very motivated to start singing lessons but now she loves it. Along with the singing lessons, Ashton also does some fun events such as Christmas shows, music videos with all the members and other fun stuff. Instead of hopping on the chance to secure some business for his clearly struggling store, he decided that was the best time to rant about the "hard work he did" to find the guitar and how it was "unfair that I didn't want to buy it from him." (even though no order had been placed on my end) He didn't even give me a quote for repairs, he just whined about losing a sale to a better equipped business. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. He could have made a quick buck on a few guitar repairs and possibly earned additional business if he didn't feel the need to lecture customers about their purchasing habits. Don't let the absence of a website trick you into believing this place must rely on strong word of mouth to get by. Other than an out of place Ariana Grande drum head, Lowe's Music has nothing worth checking out. It's cramped, unorganized, and is a perfect example of incompetent ownership that is keeping large stores like Guitar Center thriving. While I'm all for supporting local businesses, this is one SVC shop that I wont feel sorry for after the owner runs it into the ground.

After multiple calls from my end, I finally got in touch with the manager, ordered the instrument online, and scheduled the first lesson. The manager promised to call when the instrument arrived, but again, no follow-up. When I called, another associate informed me the instrument was there, but the instructor had pushed the lesson by a week without notifying us. When I arrived to pick up the instrument, the staff seemed completely disinterested. No one provided guidance or assistance beyond just handing it over. Overall, the lack of communication, customer service, and general interest in helping new clients--especially kids excited to learn music--was disappointing. I ended up finding another instructor elsewhere. This place clearly does not value its customers or take pride in bringing up the next generation of musicians. Would not recommend.
