There's not a ton of high value objects, but plenty of nostalgia and thrifty finds. We spent at least 45 minutes browsing the rows and rows and ended up walking away with a bunch of vintage political pins (which I collect). They don't have a lot of staff on hand, so there can sometimes be a wait to flag down someone to open the cases and check out, but they're all very friendly. They accept credit cards but have an old school paper tracking system; they prefer cash.

The work is done by a studio in CA, with the material sources from our of the country (I think they said India). I was looking for local products, so that no longer fit the bill. That said, the products themselves have a great range of sizes, shapes, and colors! Idid try on a jacket that should have been big on me but it was way too small, so be careful because the jackets are also not true to size (which is very important when you are also paying the premium).

Owner is dishonest. We sold them some stuff and agreed with the woman owner on giving us a gift…read morecertificate that we could use whenever we wanted and have a declining balance. We wanted this because we USED to like the shop and wanted to support them instead of taking the cash and spending it somewhere else. After using it a couple times my wife went in to use it and the man owner refused her, called her a liar, and got aggressive and nasty. He's a real jackass, abusive to customers, and doesn't deserve the business he inherited from Daddy. We will never go back in there after the way he treated my wife. Bottom line is he cheated us out of money. DISHONEST.

My dad used to renovate run-down stuff he'd salvaged from the Alna Dump (dump picking was legal; this was the early 70s) and sell or trade to Elmer. Hours would go by. So much amazing and rusty junk, and random things like thousands of wooden eggs and bags of antique long white gloves and lace tablecloths sold by the pound. When you consider not having to drive 18 miles to get an item from one of the big box stores, the value they provide is almost priceless.
