Anxiety was high with our first time home purchase. To make matters worse, we were competing for AZ's Pathway to Purchase down payment assistance program. The program requires a ton of extra paperwork and that paperwork must be completed without error. Steve White of Guild, a former teacher, was a great fit for us in navigating and teaching us about our home loan and down payment program processes. His ability to patiently guide us and answer our questions for different mortgage scenarios was extremely useful. He also worked hand in hand with our real estate agent to make sure all went smoothly. He was always available via email, text, and phone. Thanks to their diligence we ended up receiving the highly competitive down payment fund assistance. I can't speak to interest rate competitiveness as the down payment program didn't allow us to shop around, we were set regardless of who we went with.
