The other thing is that they had a great selection of beers on tap, which is something that is always going to grab my attention. Mind you there does happen to be a pretty cool brewery nearby, so you can be assured that you are going to get some good beer here. Mind you, it does get crowded, especially during the more touristy times, but still, it's a pretty good pub.

Cheap and cheerful cabins in the fantastic seaside town of Robe!…read more We usually stay in a holiday house while in Robe, but being the end of November, it was getting near peak time ... so we decided to stay here instead. The cabin was spotlessly clean and neat, and reasonably priced. Pets are allowed in this tourist park (only in certain cabins though), and there are plenty of sites for caravans. Internet connection was offered, but it wasn't wifi and it was charged per hour so way too expensive. Saying that, most of the people staying here seemed older, so probably wouldn't be too bothered by this. We would definitely consider staying here again!

In fact I found that it was a rather delightful place where I could spend some time relaxing, especially after a rather long drive earlier that day. The main bar area is spacious and great for all weather drinking, and the outside area is behind glass and offers excellent views of the main beach in Robe - great for summer time drinking. The dining facility is cavernous. There is a main dining area and also another huge one in a separate room. The Robe Hotel is particularly child friendly with ample space for children to play and be themselves without disturbing others or getting glared at. The meals come quickly, and are really standard pub fare, so nothing special, but not badly done either. I often go for dinner with a gaggle of family members when I am visiting, knowing that I don't have to book, I will get consistently good food, I will have a relaxed time, and it won't cost the Earth to boot! People that know Robe at the height of the tourist frenzy will know that these things are all a godsend.
