Because we lived out of town we never had much opportunity to check on our storage unit over the years. We were a bit wary about the state of our belongings when we went to collect them but found them to be in the same condition as they were when we first put them into storage. The facilities at National Mini Storage were very clean and tidy. We have had some other personal belongings stored in another storage unit in the Bay of Plenty where we now reside and I have to say that National Mini Storage is a lot cleaner and well cared for than this other unit we have. Thank you National Mini Storage for taking such great care of our possessions. Would definitely use you again!

I stored some of my stuff here for about 6 months. I wasn't paying rent at the time which made the…read more$80 per month for storage seem pretty cheap. You don't get a lot of space for that price but as I didn't have much stuff at the time it was ok for me. I liked how secure the place felt, there's a automatic gate that's activated with a personal code and the manager lives on site. However upstairs where my storage unit was the lighting is a little dim so it's hard to find things in your unit when you need to grab something. One thing I was quite disappointed with is that the metal handles of my drawers went rusty and the duvet I stored in there grew horrible orange mould. So if you store your stuff in there, make sure it's protected against the dampness.

They're really easy to deal with here, and signing up for a unit is a breeze - you can get it all done within 20mins. They have a range of units here, from quite small to big garages for boats and the like. It also does feel very secure, with managers who live onsite, a pin-activated gate (everyone has their own pin) and alarms on each unit. They also offer deals if you sign up for a certain length of time and offer monthly billing if that's easier for you.
