I am a new customer. I chose Guardian Hawk Security because I am a contact for a friend who uses them and I am called promptly whenever there is a security problem. The Guardian Hawk technicians Brian M and DJ came to the home and spent all day getting my system up to date. They found my fire alarm system was disconnected!!! They repaired everything. They were professionals, polite, thorough and I overheard them deciding to clean up the mess of wires they were presented with by labeling the wires. They also corrected the improperly named zones set up by previous company. All in all, I am impressed and look forward to this relationship with a family run business. read more

I'll list the facts and provide an alternative security system. - 5 year contract (that wasn't mentioned, it's in the fine print) - Over $1500 in "install" and you don't own it! It's a lease you pay an additional $60 a month for. Note: Install is in "" due to 90% of the hardware being mounted with 3M stickers. - during uninstall, holes are left for the 10% screwed in. Try SimpliSafe. You install. No lease. No monthly charge (unless you want added features) and HALF THE PRICE for the hardware. read more

This company will attempt to steal from you by over billing and taking money that they are not entitled to via direct debit if you enable it. Once is an 'error', twice is an 'oversight'. The third time is outright theft. Do not trust your security to a company run by thieves! I spoke with the owner who assured me the latest problem will 'be taken care of'. We'll see. Guardian Hawk Security is the best. Had a problem with my system that was put in 2 years ago. Just arrived in Florida and called service. They came out the same day and figured out I needed a new Control devise that was defective. They replaced it today and everything works great now. Well I finally ended my contract with guardian hawk alarm... Evidently I signed a 5 year contract.. Buyer beware when you are shopping for alarms for your home.. A lot of stuff can happen within 5 years.. I would never hire them again.. read more

Very dishonest company. Used them for 20 years and I canceled my account. They said I have to pay them for 2 extra years to cancel. The words sleazy, dishonest and not reputable come to my mind. I have no legal obligation to pay them and never agreed to such a contract. The original company SVI was excellent and I guess sold it to some lowlifes. read more

Not only did my husband and I pay hundreds of dollars for our security equipment upfront, but when I had them reinstall my system into our new home (which I was told was a free service for being a valued costumer) without me "knowing or reading the tiny fine print" I thought I was just signing for reinstall - I was actually UNKNOWINGLY signing a new contract to be locked into for years! I have not been happy with my system that I have paid every month for, for now five years and when I called today to cancel, because I was possibly with a competitor and they did not have 30 days to persuade me otherwise - they are trying to charge me hundreds or another 1,000$!!!! This company does NOT value your monthly payment and will lock you into contracts and lie about their company switching ownership to try and get more money out of you! This company has done our security system for 30 yrs. Their service then is as good as now.. Amazing ability by their technicians to create or add to an existing security system ! They work within a budget that the customer can afford and will even make suggestions to keep cost down but security up ! My parents worked with Jeff the technician 25 yrs ago and I have continued the tradition. He is awesome. Today we had a new tech with him Mark and he too was excellent. Great service! The service rep I dealt with was awesome & very knowledgeable. When I spoke with their technicians, they got to me right away and were very helpful. I previously had dealt with the one of the big name security companies and was so frustrated trying to talk to a computer system, and then they were even more unhelpful when I finally got to speak to a real person. Instead of having yet another annoying computer system--like trying to speak to someone with your insurance company, you get to talk to a real person who works with the company. They responded on Saturday, Their repair man took apart the entire system and after he checked inside and out he realized that we still did not have power. He then checked my circuit breaker panel and realized that one of my circuit breakers were loose. He made sure it was all the way over. His bill was for over 500 dollars. 150 for the service call. 200 dollars for Saturday and 175 dollars for electrical work??? What's worse was was the air conditioning system still didn't work. The owner Ward called me Sunday to let me know he would only send a repairman if I was willing to pay another 300 dollars for a part that his repair guy noted could be a problem plus another service call fee. Incredible A top notch Electrican came because the part his repairman said it probably was I could not buy in Home Depot or True Value. He required this piece to fix my unit (it is only there for the air conditioner company to shut the system from outside) Not needed My Electrican retired and could not fix it. He got a friend of his who knew air conditioning. It turns out that a wire inside the unit was disconnected. How did that happen? My wife has called BAM three times with no answer. Do not use them. Stay far away and don't believe their sales pitch. I paid to have retractable insect screens…read morefitted to my patio. The job was horrific: screens had seams across the entire width when their contract showed one panel dimensions. It said nothing about seaming. The owner of the company uses unlabeled screens so there is no way to know what he is providing. There is no warranty because he has to register the screens and he refuses to do so. Two of the housing are too short width wise and daylight comes through. The workers take shortcuts like not putting elbows on the wire conduit leaving the most vulnerable part exposed. He removed the controller to operate the screens from the property even though we paid for it and refuses to return it so we can't operate the screens. He abandoned the job without finishing. I can't include pictures of the huge ugly seams of the shades because he took the controller to operate the shades so they are in the canisters and cannot be used. The cutting work of his crew was very poor with wrong cuts being filled with caulking. He didn't use the correct length of screen even though it exists because he provided cheap screens that had to be seamed to make up the length. The owner misrepresented what he was contracted to do. He did not finish the electrical. He doesn't keep appointments. His prices are very high and there is no warranty because he does not register the product. Nothing is labeled so one has no idea what we bought. And the owner of the company is a bully! Could it get any worse?

When the owner did my mortgage a few years ago, it was the best service and the best rates. This time around the service was beyond slow and they were constantly playing the blame game on whose fault it was. We had to ask multiple times just to get a response from them and my mortgage was delayed because of their lack of response. They have outsourced agents that do not know what they are doing, and things are missed. I should be telling my agent what needs to be done next and asking them to do it multiple times. They will also charge you fees that you do not approve or know about until you are signing your closing documents. These are not small fees - we were surprised by $1,500 that they charged us and never told us they were doing it. We will not be return customers after this and highly recommend you avoid them if you want a smooth and on time mortgage closing.
