Guadalupe Inn is a small, family-run hotel in Santa Fe, close to the plaza and arts district. We found Guadalupe Inn through Expedia, and am glad we did. It was a pleasant stay. We arrived in Santa Fe in the late morning, so decided to see if we could check-in early before the standard 3pm time. Although our room wasn't ready, the staff did get our room ready by 1pm, which was so nice of them. In the meantime, they allowed us to keep our car parked in the lot while we walked to the plaza area. We were in room 12, as all of the rooms are different and have their own decorum. Our room was nice! We had a queen size bed and found the room to be a good size for just the two of us. The bathroom was really nice, as it had a shower with a jetted tub. Our room also came with a fridge, TV, toiletries, and bottled waters. Free parking on the premises, too! We did face some issues, one with a spotty wifi, so at times it was better to use data than the wifi, which was a minor problem. But the bigger issue we had was the fact that we couldn't turn the temperature down below 72 because it freezes. With that said, it was hard for us to sleep at night since we were both too hot from the temperature. We're used to sleeping nearly 10 degrees below that, so it was tough for us to get used to. In addition to the hotel stay here, it comes with a complimentary continental breakfast, which was solid! Although it's a continental breakfast with the basic items such as fruit, pastries and hard-boiled eggs, they make their own waffles here, which is truly a treat! Victory waffles, indeed, as Leslie Knope would say. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Guadalupe Inn! It felt like staying at a friend's house than a hotel, with the friendliest staff, and cozy and welcoming atmosphere.

Great little place not too far from the Plaza. Spacious accommodations with fireplace and outdoor seating area. Nice and clean. Parking is a little tight but we have a big truck. Price is decent. My only complaint is the noisy bed in our room. We did enjoy our stay here.

I can't say enough good things about this place and the people who work here. I ended up staying here last minute on my way to Taos and needed an affordable place that was close to downtown. I found Guadalupe Inn on Booking.com where it was sold out, but when I called there was a room available and they were kind enough to give me a discounted rate close to what Booking.com offered. The room itself was adorable and huge, with two beds, a fireplace, a nice balcony and even a bath tub with jets. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. The location was perfect; I was able to walk to the Georgia O'Keefe museum downtown in less than 10 minutes and all the downtown attractions (restaurants, the plaza) were equally walkable. The best part of the experience, however, was the people. This is a family-owned business and it was clear everyone really cares about making their guests feel at home. Doug, especially, was great and went out of his way to make sure my stay was comfortable. He helped me with the discounted rate, lugged my heavy suitcase up the stairs for me and even gave me a ride to the airport the next day so I wouldn't have to take a Lyft (refusing a tip when I offered). I'm very grateful to him and to the Inn for making my short stay in Santa Fe such a lovely experience.

I'm really conflicted about my feelings about the Guadalupe Inn. I really wanted to love it (and there are many things to like), but had to dock a few stars based on some pretty real issues with our room. PROS: - Staff was very nice and accommodating. We needed to check in after the normal office hours and had no problem getting a hold of the night manager via phone. They had good recommendations on places to eat and things to do. - Nice mom and pop vibe. I don't know who owns this place, but it seems to be a local operation. I like that it wasn't some cookie-cutter hotel. - Location is fantastic. It's very easy to walk to the center of town and do all the normal Santa Fe tourist things from this location. It's particularly close to the cool and hip Railyard area where there is a farmer's market on Saturdays and the cool SITE museum. This area of town seems to have the best restaurants - the kinds of places locals go to and aren't just some tourist trap. - Free parking. I think it's one car per room. I saw someone else complained about the parking and the safety of the parking situation, but I couldn't figure out for the life of me why. No problem from my perspective. - Continental breakfast is good. We were there on New Year's Day and they made a special set of waffles and had real maple syrup available. It's a continental breakfast so it's nothing fancy, but it's free and it does the job no problem. - Rooms are cute as a button with a southwest decor. The furniture and fixtures are not modern, but they have an adorable homey vibe which I liked very much. Everything was clean. - Internet. Didn't have any issues with the internet and we were in the unit furthest away from the main building, so don't agree with what the other yelper said about the internet being slow. - Cost. Great value for the excellent location. CONS: - Heating. I tried fiddling with the thermostat to figure out if we could make it warmer at night. (We were there in Dec/Jan.) I turned up the temperature and turned to "Heat" but it didn't seem to do any good. It can get fairly chilly at night. Granted, we just wore some thermals and we were fine, and we didn't ask the staff for an extra blanket or anything, so I can't fault them too much on this - just wished it was clearer how the place could get toastier. - Noise. I agree with some of the other folks who said that being on the 1st floor under a 2nd-floor room can be pretty noisy. You can hear all the footsteps of the people above and their murmured conversations. You can hear them arriving at 6am in the morning clomping up the stairs, putting their bags down. You can hear them getting ready in the morning, and you can predict when they will walk down the stairs and past your window. One of the days must've been garbage pickup because I could hear the truck quite loudly around the backside of the building in the early morning. - Leak from above. We were in unit 8, which is the one with the kitchen, and whenever the people above us would take a shower, their shower water would leak onto the shelf in the kitchen. This deterred us from using that whole area of our room because, yuck, someone else's shower water in the kitchen sink and related areas! We notified the staff and they apologized. They said that because it was a historic building they couldn't get things fixed right away. We ended up leaving a bowl on top of the kitchen shelf to collect the water so it wouldn't further ruin the wood. The noise and the leaking we experienced on our first night made us try searching for another place to stay, but since we were there during the holidays everything else with a decent price/location was booked. We decided to stay for the remaining days because we did like everything mentioned in the PROs list. Based on the other reviews it sounds like if you have a 2nd-floor room you'll probably have a lovely time. I would just advise people be aware of the potential problems if their room is on the 1st floor - and if you can look past some of those issues, there are still many things to like about the Guadalupe Inn.

I wanted to show my daughter Santa Fe on a road trip from Omaha NE to Tucson AZ. I had no idea where we could stay and then my daughter found Guadalupe Inn for $80 a night on Priceline. What an extremely great find! The rooms were adorable, comfortable, and decorated in the Santa Fe style. We were sad to here that it is no longer a B&B due to one of the founding sisters being sick, but there was still a great continental breakfast and warm homey feel to our stay. THE COFFEE WAS AMAZING! Both of the receptionists that we met gave us great recommendations for food, places to visit, and shop. They were extremely friendly and hospitable! The inn is also not very far from all the great downtown destinations, you must go see the hidden gem down the street from the inn, the Guadalupe Church, as well! Our visit was fantastic!

What a gem of a find in santa fe nm. I have to agree with other yelpers. Quiet clean and a wonderful staff

What a gem of a find. Doesn't look like much from outside but awesome on inside clean quiet and a staff willing to accomadate your needs. Call them directly and you will get the same price as priceline. Would diffently stay here again

The Guadalupe Inn was wonderful in every way. My best friend and I stayed one night, April 9th, in room 4. It wasn't nearly long enough to take everything in. There were two queen beds, one in a separate bedroom, a large living room with fireplace and lots of comfortable seating, a lovely balcony and a beautiful bathroom with shower and jacuzzi tub. Decorated in southwestern style with amazing attention to detail. Very comfortable, dreamy beds. Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful. I will recommend this jewel to everyone I know.

    Great free breakfast here.

When we drove in, the parking lot was just about full and the space that was available was too small for my truck. The security guard who I wish I could remember his name as he was such a gem, let me know that he will park my truck for me. He had a fabulous Texan accent and he was just the nicest man. He said go on inside and check in and when you come back out, I will park your truck for you. The woman who greeted me inside was so lovely. She said I am so glad you are here! You are our last guest to arrive and I will get you all checked in. It felt like we were in a different time almost, it was so cozy and quaint. Our hotel room itself was perfect. We had two beds and they were so comfortable and the linens were fabulous. The wall hangings and paintings were gorgeous. The bathroom was adorable and had pretty New Mexican tile. Even the carpets and rugs were beautiful. They do have a restaurant and room service. They have a complementary breakfast cooked to order which is something I have never seen before. Unfortunately we were so tired the next day we missed the breakfast, but we will definitely book another stay in this hotel. The reception area is beautiful and has lovely couches and sitting areas. The paperwork in the rooms is extremely thorough and will tell you everything you need to know, from room service to if you have difficulty parking your car to nearby restaurants and sightseeing. I did not read all of the paperwork when I first got to the hotel and in the morning I called for coffee to be delivered to my room. I later saw that coffee is actually set out for guests in the reception area so the woman who brought me the coffee really only did it out of kindness. I definitely felt like this hotel gives five star service.

So I found this place And in that week between Christmas and New Year's we still wanted to catch the Christmas lights and farolitos And if you too are about location, location, location This was perfect If you've ever had to drive to Santa Fe, you know that parking can be a bear -- and it was, with a lot of the main streets blocked off in anticipation of NYE celebrations. The hotel is actually quite a large, sprawling complex, much deeper that what might be assumed when pulling in. We got there mid-afternoon so could park rt in front of our first floor room. I hadn't even thought about that but my creaky knees were happy and quite relieved to only hv to haul my wee bag up 7 steps or so. Check in was easy, if a bit crowded, as a lot of regulars like to show up a bit early too. The doorman was a very polite young man and everyone made us feel welcome. The older gentleman at the counter was a font of information And made sure we knew abt the Happy Hour Short and sweet Whatever you do: try the biscochitos! (The official NM state cookie, fyi - for a reason - when done right, and these definitely are!) Everything was very clean Even with all the Christmas decorations and greenery out There's an excellent restaurant on site And when they say there's "a bit of a kick", and shd you be a wuss like me, order the spicy on the side. Staff was very considerate abt this. And breakfast is pretty good too! And it was so easy to walk to everything, stuff I usually don't get to see bc I'm usually on the other side of town. The valets offered a warm welcome that set the tone for our entire stay and the front desk check in was friendly and efficient. In fact, every single staff member we came into contact with was an absolute delight. From the manager who we encountered each afternoon and always took the time to engage with us, to the awesome lady with the funky makeup who served the complimentary afternoon drinks. Everyone we came into contact with was lovely, even the lady bussing tables was a delight. Our room on the 2nd floor was ok, it was very long and narrow and despite having plenty of sq ft, the layout made it feel small. The bathroom was decent and the linens, towels and amenities were a good quality. Each day at 5.30pm the hotel offers complimentary drinks and snacks. We checked it out once; the cocktails, although served with a big smile, were cheap and sugary (as expected). The food (pasta and baked potatoes with fixings, hot dogs and popcorn), wasn't to our taste but many of the guests with children appeared to be making a full dinner out of them, so that is definitely a great feature for families on a budget. The location is really good, no more than a 7 min stroll from everything in the historic center of Santa Fe. I would recommend this hotel for family road trips and business travelers on a tight budget. The staff make this hotel a place you should consider if you're ever coming to Santa Fe.

But where? Reviewers touted the Inn Of The Turquoise Bear.....and they were right. Pros: - Location: Central. Just south of the downtown area and a 15 minute walk to Canyon Road. - Exterior: A sprawling property in a residential neighborhood. Several smaller buildings seem to have been added over the (many) years to the main building seen on most photos of the property. - Interior: Like going back 100 years. Things were fixed, of course...especially in public spaces...but you might feel as if you're in a living museum. - Our Room (Witter Byner): Large and rambling. More than enough room for 2 people plus a balcony overlooking the front of the property. Very comfortable. I could live there for a month if we didn't mind going up and down 15 stairs to the main floor. One interesting aspect: The bathroom. It was very nice and fully equipped, but separate from our room and down 5 stairs. That wasn't a problem during the day, but a few nights were an adventure - Breakfast: Unreal. Everything was homemade with great taste. The buffet portion had sliced fruit, granola, juices, pastries and yogurt. The hosts and kitchen staff had 3-5 entrees available each day. I rarely tried those since I filled up on the buffet, but my wife ate one every day and only had good things to say. Service at the community table was gracious and unhurried with lots of interesting conversation. - Amenities: A 1-2 hour Happy Hour every day starting at 430 or 5 PM. Fresh cookies, fruit, tea and jug water were available all day (coffee from 630-10 AM). Umbrellas. Plenty of smiles. - Hosts: Everyone was very friendly, helpful, informative and even charming. Special thanks to Aileen (sp?). - Housekeeping: Effective, efficient and unobtrusive. - Parking: Sufficient. The large courtyard in front of the of the property provided enough room for cars in the 11 room B&B. - Price and Value: Reasonable. It's not cheap, but as in most cases you get what you pay for. The door frame lets light in, the floors creaked like a haunted house, and the entire layout felt like it was designed by someone who's never actually had to sleep there. There were no privacy blinds, only wooden shutters, and the artwork provided enough clutter to fill the room just in case you forgot your own luggage. Breakfast was the big show! Most of what we were served was delicious. For an extra $45 per person, you'll be given whatever the kitchen feels like making that morning... no choices, no allergy considerations, and not even a glass of water. Instead, you're handed an herbal infusion and expected to sip with gratitude while waiting 90 minutes for your dessert tart. But our group's disappointment simply must have meant we didn't understand the "magic" of the experience. In the end, Casa Culinaria is the kind of place that confuses ambiance with hospitality and is more interested in curating an image than creating a welcoming stay. If you're searching in Santa Fe for a splintering rocking chair, garden corners appropriate for Instagram, or even paying $340/night to be treated like an inconvenience... this is the winner! Anyone interested in actual hospitality should keep searching.

This is a Hilton location that comes with great service. People are always friendly. We got in way…read moreearly around noon and they were able to check us into a room right away. Room was on the second floor, the lobby level and was quiet. The closet was in the bathroom. But the sliding door was not properly secured and made a lot of noise. Not a big deal. The mini fridge was a bit odd (it doesn't open on the right side, but close to the hinged side... if this makes sense). Awkward to use. We were three people checked in for three nights. The room came with two bath towels. The shower gel was empty. The tissues are running out. Called front desk and someone came in timely to give a newly filled bottle of shower gel and some additional bath towels. We put up the privacy signs. Their trash bin was very slim.... With kids in the place, it was constantly knock over and doesn't hold much. I know we were meant to order room service. But the tissue ran out on day 2. the bin was mostly full with the tissue box disposed. Though only on 2nd floor, our room was quiet. I used the gym for Friday morning workout. Dumbbells were great. There were quite a few people on Friday morning for both cardio and weight training. The outdoor pool seems nice but it was cold and outdoor fireplace needs to be lite to be warm enough to use. I had the most problem with their restaurant. See separate reviews. I appreciate the parking here on site in the plaza. It does come with $31 per day price tag. Overall, I felt thar housekeeping to prepare the room was rushed (zero shower gel when we checked in, tissue ran out on day 2, toilet paper ran out on day 3). We barely used much of the tissues either. But we are grateful to have a room ready around noon. This is a hotel accommodating folks from different time zones. Their breakfast ends at 10am while it is 9am PST. Restaurant here was a bit frustrating for us (ie Lunch hour ends at 2pm but no lunch was served at 1:05pm). Other than some minor issues, we were happy here overall.

It was easy to catch an Uber from here if needed The airport is only about a 20 minute ride from here. The establishment definitely gives historic vibes, everything was dark wood. I did appreciate all of the art in the room. However, you really need a lot of sunlight to brighten the room! Our room was spacious and clean. I really liked the digital key feature. We were really looking forward to using the hot tub after upgrading our room for direct access, but it was closed for maintenance for half our stay. Considering the building is historic, be wary of the elevator. The staff greeted us daily and were super helpful when we asked for suggestions on places to go. Room service was quick. The small store in the lobby with snacks and complimentary bags of ice definitely came in handy. Having coffee out in the lobby every morning was a nice touch. I would recommend this hotel.
