Seasonal resident. Was referred by a neighbor here after another shop failed my car on state inspection for a hole about 1" x 3/4" from corrosion in a rocker panel. That shop had quoted repair at over $5,000. The car was 18 years old at the time so I only expected another 4 + years out of it and I didn't need a restoration. Having done a little body work in my youth, I knew this was a nothing repair to last that long and that the other shop's quote was unrealistic in the extreme given the age/value of the car. I was up front with GTA that another shop failed it and that I was going to repair it myself and how I was going to do it so I would not be hiding anything from them. I made a secure patch with galvanized sheet metal, sheet metal screws, primed and undercoated it just as the previous shop could have. GTA properly passed it as the repair met the requirements they explained to me (structurally sound and not able to leak exhaust gasses). Very on time and prompt too, which I really appreciate as I value my time. When I need repairs I'll bring my vehicles to GTA. read more

They do quality work, do it quickly and have an easy payment system which is important for me as I am frequently out of town and cannot collect my vehicles during normal working hours. GTA is the best. They are knowledgeable. They will go by the letter of the law and recommend repairs, but don't force them on you or pressure you if they do "pass"! Jannette in the front office is very friendly. They are state of the art; you will receive a printout/ E-mail of your vehicle details. They will also check to see if you have any open dealer recalls and let you know. GTA or Janette will communicate through text and notify you that way if you would like. It makes communication VERY EASY! If you look at the inside of the shop, you will see it is neat and organized; that is how they operate. I would strongly recommend them. read more

Janette and the crew are pleasure with which to do business. I value having a local shop I can trust. Especially in recent years as I've become a bit lazy with doing my own repairs. And that's saying a lot coming from someone who has done 95% of his own repairs for the past 35 years. I don't let just any shop touch my vehicles. I'd definitely recommend GTA. Average pricing, neither the least nor the most expensive. Exceptional service, friendly and professional. While I'm here I'd like to address that other review left by the gentleman in 2017 who wanted an engine installed in his van. Folks, I get it really I do. I can find new parts for 1/4-1/2 the price that most shops charge. And I'd put my self-sourced parts up against any shop's parts every day of the week in terms of reliability and durability. If I want to install these parts and save a bundle...I also take on the risk. In my lifetime I've had two shops that didn't mind installing my parts. However, most will not do it. That should not come as a shock to anyone. The risk of doing so falls on their shoulders. Look...when they source the parts from their regular suppliers they pay a premium and that premium is passed on to the customer. But they also take on the responsibility not only of the installation, but of the part and any warranty repair. And a reputable shop will stand behind their work and the parts they select. Shit shops will always make excuses....and every community has at least one shitty shop. But not every shop is trying to rip people off. When a customer like me supplies a part...it's a potential business liability and a risk. And if there's an issue with that part it becomes a game of he-said/she-said. Did it fail due to improper installation? Or a manufacturer's defect? Or a dumbass customer abusing the part well outside its designed purpose? Hell, I just paid approximately double the amount I'd normally pay for rear hubs by buying them through GTA (not including labor), but at the end of the day my ass didn't have to install them in the freezing, rainy cold or my cold-ass garage, and Janette provided me with a ride to and from my home. I'm getting too old for mid-Winter repair bullshit. That alone was completely worth it to me. In any case, the folks at GTA struck me as straight shooters. I've never met Bill personally, but I can understand why he'd prefer to install parts that he sourced. It's just good business sense. The next time my lazy ass doesn't feel like doing a repair...I'll be knocking on GTA's door. read more

I went here for an inspection and was only in town for the night. A part was needed for my car, and they ordered it locally and it was there within 30 minutes! They worked quickly and efficiently. While I was waiting, the sweet lady at the desk offered to drive me to the store, so I took her up on the offer! Also, this is a very VETERAN FRIENDLY company. Thank you! read more

Clean shop, friendly people, great service on my Jaguar and Acura. Fair prices - I never go to the cheapest guy in town anyway because that's risky. We also bring our company GMC vans here for service and they've caught any number of small issues that could be potential problems when we're out on the road. GTA did a GMC transmission change for us over a long weekend so we could have our van back in service making money for us. That's the kind of small business service I really appreciate. read more

Watch out for this place! DO NOT have work done on your car here. I went in on Friday August 4 with a major problem. I needed a new engine put into my van. I had the car towed to GTA, and found a motor with less than 200 actual miles on it. I had arranged to have the motor shipped to GTA. Bill (the owner) and I talked about the job. At first, Bill made it clear that he want d to make money on selling me a motor. I explained to him that I had found a diamond in the rough in this motor I found with less than 200 miles on it, and the motor he wanted to sell me had 43,000 miles on it. He understood, and quoted me a price of 1950.00 for the labor. I agreed, and he told me he could work on it the following week. I left there Friday afternoon with an agreement. He accepted the job, quoted a price, scheduled the work. On Monday morning I went to GTA to share the tracking info on the motor, and to let them know the motor would arrive in the am on tues. Bill then told me he "changed his mind", and he wasn't going to do the job. Now I had to arrange the towing of the van from GTA to another service provider, and scramble to re-route the engine. When I asked him why he was doing this it was clear. 2000.00 wasn't enough money for him. He wanted to sell me a motor too. I asked him "why didn't you tell me this on Friday" he just gave me the bullshit dance. Since then, I have talked to other service providers in the area and found that GTA has a horrible reputation of gouging customers. Read other reviews, go in there yourself. If you talk to Bill, you will find him to be a difficult jerk that clearly is after the money in your pocket before providing you with service. I was able to make all the arrangements, and found a better service provider. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!!! There are many other shops out there that will be fair. This place, and Bill especially, is not! read more
