He was a very friendly chap who, after taking a few quick notes and measurements, went away assuring me I would have a full quote and design emailed to me as soon as possible. I received a very comprehensive quote a few days later. This included drawings of my finished garden and detailed labour and material costs. The quote was very reasonable so I accepted it and within a month of contacting him I was entertaining friends out on my new deck! He has since been back to maintain my garden and decking area it always looks neat and tidy after his visits.

Oscar has abandoned our garden project and taken away his tools after nearly a year. After a recent…read morefour month delay, he made an unscheduled and unjustifiable demand for an extra £11,000 and refused to continue work unless he received it. We had already given him £50,247.60. Using Oscar's quote, we estimate that he's so far only delivered £12,932.40 worth of value. He has not contested our detailed written estimate. Also, Oscar promised in writing that he would buy and deliver our materials on site in return for the money we gave him, the majority (by value) of which he has not done. We are an estimated £37,315.20 out-of-pocket for labour and materials that were not delivered and our garden is unusable. In the interests of fairness, I shared a draft of this review with Oscar. It was met with threats. This behaviour is in keeping with an existing criminal record, which you can discover for yourself with a simple Google query: "OSCAR FAIRFAX-SLADDEN". We have passed on the threats to the Police and intend to pursue Oscar through the courts for our losses.

We wanted a natural looking stream in a sloped section of our garden and he's created just that with added waterfalls and a bubbling rock.
