Galsterbergalm, hmm. A cozy and homey chalet in the Austrian mountains, wonderful for refreshment…read moreduring your skiing or hiking. Especially nice for tourists from the Czech Republic, as they will try to speak Czech to you there (how cute when they will address you "Milacek", which means "Darling"). They have even the menu printed in Austrian/English/Czech. This is a family business of Huteggers, and they seem to be a happy and effective family. Thy will smile at you, offer you homemade sausages, different kinds of dumplings, all in the "grandmotherly" atmosphere around a big traditional stove, which will nicely contrast with a huge modern TV. They serve good table wine, nice soups with big dumplings of different varieties (cheese, speck, liver ...), sausages, sauerkraut, and also traditional Austrian sweet meals. The only small disadvantage could be that they don't accept credit cards, you have to pay in cash. But what would you expect in 1800 metres?
