On my tour from Cancun to Chichen Itza, we actually came here twice. It was our first stop to buy…read moresouvenirs before heading the Mayan Ruins and after that, we returned here again, for lunch.
It's a rather large space with many different souvenirs, at a somewhat decent rate. I wound up buying an overpriced pack of six Mexican Tequilas to give to some of my colleagues and some candy for my daughter. The staff here wasn't overbearing but they stand close by and swoop in to give you a ticket with their name-- I guess to receive credit for the sale, although they provided absolutely no assistance.
When we came for lunch, the lines were a little confusing because people were just standing all over the place. Finally, when we did get our food, I only wanted rice and black beans, both of which were good. We also were provided a glass of Horchata, I've never had it before but decided to drink it-- I was very impressed and actually liked it.
