Grounup is cleverly hidden in the small village of Puatahanui near Porirua, Wellington. It has very experienced baristas and friendly staff that are all young men. This gives an interesting 'manly' touch to this place that has art on the walls and creative atmosphere. The customers are families from the neighbourhood but surprisingly many travel from Wellington. Once you get to know this place you want to come back. Yum! I had a simple toasted sandwich and bowl of fries. I hadn't planned on finishing the fries but couldn't help myself! The toastie was pretty good, too. My wife had the corn fritters which certainly made the grade for her. Considering the location it was very busy on a Wednesday lunchtime, but there were plenty of tables.
